And the mk3...had it called a probe all the time, a mazda(in referrence to rx7 i guess), celica, asked if it was front wheel drive, asked if it was a v8, asked if it was an F body ALL the time, asked if it was turbo or twin turbo, and the best, thats not the FAST supra
My mk2s have been confused with Fox body Mustangs and my Silver celica GTS was called a DeLorean.

that beamer does look like a supra. ive never liked BMW's and its not going to start now. i'd rather have my supra.

Most people I encounter around 35 years old+ seem to know what it is. When I brought home my first one my friend though it was an Integra. And a few people thought it was a new model car. The other day I was under the hood in the parking lot and a guy walks by and was like "That was my dream car in high school!".
Those 8 series are cool, pretty rare. They'd look a hell of a lot better though if the front grille was larger. Looks like a rats nose or something.

Alot of cars look like a Supra.
The 599 does not look so much like a Supra from other angles.
Kinda looks like a Viper at some angles too.
Moral of the story, it's a RWD coupe with a relatively long engine. Alot of cars with the same drivetrain setup will have similar lines and styling cues. Or take some lines from other cars. Nothing new there. If Ferarri looked at the Supra for some styling cues, I'm sure it's not the only car they looked at.
