I've seen one cruising in my neigborhood. Thought it was a MK3, but then saw the trademark BMW grill..
My Supra has probaby been mistakenly identified before..Pretty sure of it.

Its only 5.5 liters actually.
They are such neat cars, And you can get an 850 for rather cheap now, since the engine parts are VERY expensive.

My first, black N/A used to get mistaken for 'The Knight Rider car' - kind of easy to understand why though. Only the supra was sold here - we never got anything like the Camaro (no Chevy's sold here at all until 2005), no Firebirds/Pontiacs etc (still dont). So the Supra, looking rather Trans-Amish (no, it doesnt haul a buggy), gets mistaken for the Hoff's ride....
Haha.. I posted sometihing like this a few months ago. I was at a subway, and someone that saw me pull up said " Is that one of those NSX cars?? " I looked out to see what other car puled up, then I figured out he was talking about my Supra?!.. I said "YUP... " Got my subway and got out of there..
other mistaken ID's I allways say YES to them because it gets them to go away faster. I said no 1 time and then had to get into a big chat about the car the engine, what upgrades were done.. I never made that mistake again.

1JZ (Yes someone asked me if that was a 1JZ. I will assume he was asking about the engine so I let that one slide.)
The funny one was a guy that said "Is that one of them Toyotas that explode?" I actually laughed about that one.
I had a young girl ( 16 or 17) ask me if I was a "DRIFTER" (like that could be a job?) she was dressed way to sexy for a 17 year old and I think if I told her yes she would have gotten in the car and I would be in prison right now. So I told her no. Then she said "Well I like your car anyway.." This was about 3 or 4 days after the new Fast & Furious drift movie came out. I have not seen that movie yet because it has not gotten to TV I won't spend $4.00 at blockbuster to rent it. I can only imagine the weird shit they did in that movie

Pretty much any sports car from the 80s you can imagine it has been mistaken for. Last meet I went to, I heard more then one person call it an RX7 as I drove in.
