:biglaugh: OMFG! so about 5 minutes ago, i was paying to pump gas at Chevron (Techron FTW!) when this weird guy comes up to me and the conversation at the register went like this:

Guy: Is that your car, the white one?
Me: yea, why?
Guy: what is that? a BMW?
Me: No.
Guy: Is it a Camaro?
Me: No.
Guy: Well what is it? it's nice.
Me: It's a Toyota Supra.
Guy: No it's not! Toyota never makes nice cars.
Me: Yes they do.

so coincedentally, he's at the pump behind my car. and he's still at it

Guy: Are you sure that's not a BMW? It's too nice to be a Toyota
((i'm staring blindly at the guy because he is looking at the rear end, with TOYOTA SUPRA clearly viewed))
Me: Well, as you can see ((i point)) it's a toyota supra. thanks for the compliments but i have to go.

that guy was weird. but i have to say, it feels really good to hear such compliments from someone who doesent know much about cars. :biglaugh: it didnt occur to me at the time that BMW did make the 8 series. which was a damn replica of our supras! but the whole camaro thing was just stupid to me :3d_frown:

anyone else have something like this happen to them?

some people are just really really stupid. Ive got the"sweet 240" before, and i think ive got a porsche once before.... Oh well, all i know is no matter what they mistake it for, its 10x nicer than what they are driving

When I did the squished picture of your old blue car I showed this girl I know and she asked if it was a Probe :laughing:

I think the only thing I've ever gotten was a 3000gt or Stealth. I can't remember which one they asked me if it was, they were hot and driving a slow Mustang :/

You guys ever have someone ask what kind of car you have and you say a Toyota Supra? Then they ask what year and you say a MKIII or the year you have and they are like "oh". Fuckers.

yep, once some guy called it an rx7. im sure he didnt see the extra 1000lbs +, or the fact that its quite larger than an rx7.

I've never really gotten any negative comments on either of my Supras. :dunno:

I was checking my oil the other day at the gas station and got a couple guys interested in what was going on under my hood.

A couple of the employees at my local autozone also remember my car when I come by and have even been aware of what a 1JZ is before I even brought it up.

Even people who have NFI what it is compliment my car.

Maybe I'm just really hot and people like me?:naughty: [/egopost] ::hang:::biglaugh:
