Ok so gone is my old "all greddy" 7m
normal_enginebay2.jpg

normal_enginebay.jpg

it had a td06, greddy IC, greddy piping, greddy type R, hks downpipe, greddy exhaust, 550's, vpc, afc, whalbro, etc, etc, etc. 400hp ish

the oil pan ended up having a stipped bolt on it so I am probably goin to pull it off and get that fixed, along with buying a new actual pan, the one I have is pretty rough.
we were goin to use my old hardtop for the swap but ran into some small probs so I ended up with a 91 red targa. the new one has about 120k, a REALLY rough exterior, and a farely decent interior. but I'm getting all the body work done and putting in a 6pt cage so it should be interesting. Pics will be up when it gets down to me. the previous owner is taking all his old stuff out of it. but here is the new motor the first day I got it.

if anyone wants em $100 for everything, have no idea if they are good or not. the front looks like it might be bad.
anyways got some more done today, gone is the old FFIM(for sale), injectors (for sale). and the valve covers are off to be powdercoated (pics will be up later this week. turbo is at the shop that is building my turbo manifold, ffim, etc.
actually the turbo situation just changed. we are goin back and forth on a couple candidates.

i am waiting on a q45, which I already bought, and some other small parts.
the ffim is goin to be just like this (made by the same shop)
supra_5_8.jpg

I'm goin with red valve covers with alot of black and carbon fiber. the car will get a true color change from red to black pearl. I plan on making this a full resto-build so its goin to take a LONG time cuz money is kinda short but the motor etc should'nt take that long. I will probably end up with way too much greddy stuff just like my old car.:evil2:

the quick rundown is;
big single 2j w/ custom ffim, IC, IC piping, 4" DP, 4" exhaust no cats (probably no muffler) and a resonator, 1000cc inj, AEM or most likely motec, crower 272 cams, among other things
coilovers(most likely the new megans)
wheels (black)
full paint w/misc body upgrades
6pt cage
front MKIV brake conversion
etc etc. like I said this is goin to take a while.

Sorry but all black engine color schemes are gay but then again so are big single 2J swaps.
That's not cool. Why not just discourage everyone from posting their swaps/build-ups etc. If you don't have anything constructive to say don't post. BTW nice FFIM. The 7m FFIM your selling, would this include everything needed to convert? price?

SD, don't worry about it, I got it. I really want to see your car one of these days. 87candy the manifold will be able to bolt on, I'm having a shop sandblast it and modify the lower so it will bolt to a 7m but you will have to figure out the throttle body and the throttle cable, TPS, etc. its gonna be 400 when I get it back. should be later this week.

I forgot to thank those who have helped me so far, thanx to 935, project go fast, and jewishjalopi.

SD2j I just realized how much my swap sounds like yours. sorry didn't mean to copy. lol. I just like black and am goin single 2j and happen to live in the same part of the country. eh, it will be a chance to get some good pics

No copying there ;)

Nice work thus far. I, myself, am contemplating a cage.... but I don't know that I want it yet.

the outside, like I said is pretty rough. the guy still hasn't brought it down yet. looks like he had some chrome fender pieces on, yuck. so I really can't start doin much of anything to it until he does. red supras are a dime a dozen though in the junkyards down here so i should be able to replace the driver side door and fender pretty quickly then its just a matter cleaning up the interior and deciding what color to paint it. If I go with black. all the windows, interior, motor, etc will all come out and it will get a full paint and body job with new trim, window mouldings, and targa seals. also planning on pulling the rear subframe out and sandblasting rewelding it, and powdercoating. but anyways thats what I got for now

:biglaugh: dont worry man. Im happy to see more heavily modded MK3s anyway. good luck with the build. I fabricated everything on my car anyway so it would be hard to copy ant how. Drop me a line if you ever need any fab work done.

I bought a greddy filter relocation kit. I am probably goin to add a cooler too. the MKIV guys seemed to like the greddy kit. It was a little more expensive then an ebay one but I'm not really one to use generic stuff. (except megan coilovers, don't get me started, LOL)

yeah you would think toyota could figure out a better place to put that damn thing, nope they have to put it right over the motor mount.
