WOW! I just checked the thread & I thank all of you!

No word from him, of course. It seems as if this whole transaction has been a scam. After talking to Paypal, I have to wait until the 13th to the claim comes to judgement if there is no response from the seller. When I asked, the guy said that he couldn't tell me if the money had been withdrawn, but he did say that when the seller demanded that the claim be lifted in the way this guy did, that usually meant that they didn't withdraw the funds. The way the guy said it seemed as if he wqas trying to tell me that he hadn't without actually saying it directly, know what I mean?

Anyway, thanks again for the kind words. If by some chance that he's on the level, there should no doubt at this point in this pricks mind that I'm not scaming him.

Additionally, I've learned that if you do sell something, keep the buyer as informed as possible. If he indeed has sent it, this could have been avoided if he had sent a simple email or two.

Alright, I have the idiots number. He got in touch (sent an email) with another potential buyer that had asked about the auction, that person asked him to call. He did, but then the potential buyer emailed me asking why the deal fell through.

So, who in Houston can tell me more about the number 832-444-4540? It unlisted, but is a cel number, home number, what 'burb is it located in, ect?

All I could find for free was that it's a cell number and the registered service provider is Southwestern Bell Wireless, Llc.

Werd, I contacted the my local FBI field office, and they pointed me towards this website. It was established to help start internet fruad investigations. I have to wait until the 16th, but his ass is going down.

FUCKING VICTORY!!!

I called the Houston police department to file a report. Long story made short, unless you have the address of the person, hang it up, they boldly said that they weren't going to waste their time.

I kept calling Teds cell in hopes of flushing his ass out, but no success. I would literally call 20-30 times straight, 4 to 6 times a day. Still, nothing.

I paid a private investigator to give me the billing address of Ted's cell phone number. Best $87 dollars I've ever spent! The phone was registered to his dad, so I looked his dads name on whitepages.com. Lo & behold, the dads name & address showed up. Now it was possible to file the report!

I called Teds dad & explained to him what has happened. As a two time dad, this is the last type of phone call I want to receive. He said that Ted is traveling, but he would pass on the message. I, respectfully, told him that I would file the report tomorrow morning unless the money was refunded by 7am tomorrow. He handed the phone over to Ted, so I guess his travels were ended abruptly. LOL

He blamed me for all of the problems. It wasn't shipped because I filed a claim. He didn't respond to the dozens & dozens of emails because of my tone. He didn't answer my phone calls because I was threatening, yadda, yadda, yadda. He did say that he refunded the money through Paypal, yet nothing had shown up.

I reiterate that the deadline was 7am tomorrow morning, no exceptions, and hung up the phone.

Out of curiosity, I called Paypal to ask about the refund. As the girl was talking & reviewing the claim, a deposit came through!!!!

In closing, Paypal sucks balls. I will never use them again as a seller. I started another thread about buying across the internet, but I will add A LOT of information regarding using Paypal. To make a long story short, they don't do jack shit to help you recover your money...

What a happy fuggin day! I was ready to part my car over this, but now, thing have swung back in order & I'm back on track.

Glad to hear you got that resolved, Mark. Too bad you had to go those length's to get your money back.

Atleast you didn't get raped at the border for $1100, right!? :icon_razz

Yeah, I'd say that you were gang raped for certain. As for the freeze plugs, aviation glue is your friend. ;) I use it all the time, never fails.

Damn Mark, I cant beleave that I have over looked this thread this hole time. No wonder why I haven't heard from you about all the stuff that we talked about the last time that I stopped by..... Anyways, glad to hear that you came out on top in the end. I keep my eyes open for another engine for you.
