I think the ones that were posted in this thread look badass and id drive em anyday. But me living in Houston with BIG trucks everywhere, id be VERY scared in case of an accident since its so small.

IMHO they are ridiculously fun cars to just get in and throw around, I would own one for that sole purpose. However owning one just to get from point A to point B, without visiting any other letters of the alphabet, is a waste.

a friend of mine had a Pink Miata With bubbles painted on it. That thing was a fucking beast on the track, far from stock but thats besides the point. He would tell me how he would just be minding his own business driving down the highway and he would get teenaged guys speeding up to catch up with him thinking its some hot chick only to find a middle aged guy with a scruffy beard driving. and get the strangest looks lol.
I didnt think it was gay, he ran faster times than most in that car, but then again it wasnt a daily driver.

Untrue Shaun, the turbo ones aren't that fast, to do "10's" you'd have to have a built motor and a custom turbo kit, which would cost you about the same as it would to get the supra to do 10's. I don't need a really fast car, I have the supra for that, I'm looking for something reliable that I can autox and still have fun.

My friend and i were on 14st NW, heading southbound in Calgary... and spotted a red miata with a 5.7L V8 tag on the back... and we were like "uhhh, this guy doesn't know what he's dri... what the fuck is that sound? Holy shit, that thing's got a V8" And then he leaned on it a smidge and was gone like a raped ape. I'd have raced him if we had been in my supra

I voted totally gay because 85 to 95 percent of male miata owners drive like pansys and do NOT use the car for it's designed purpose.

However the 10 percent who road race, canyon cut, and otherwise drive like a hardass in the miata are as straight as any 1320 around. I know a guy who has a 97 that he dropped a 13BRE into and that lil turbo rotary makes that miata launch like an exocet missle.
