First off do you have any of your own hobbies that you are very passionate about? If you do then you understand how your boyfriend feels towards his car.
I guess by your question at hand you do not.

Either find a hobby or get yourself involved with the car. I really didn't give shit about making a car fast 4.5 years ago until I meet a guy that was very passionate about it. I quickly wanted to see what was the big deal. His hobby quickly became my new addiction. Now I cannot thank him enough for helping me find something that I truly enjoy

Either way..the car is his hobby you are his partner. A car cannot compete with you. I just suggest finding something that you feel as passionate about that you can spend your time doing
