I guess you could relocate the GTE one it's just that the NA one already fits and has brackets and you don't have to open it to check the fluid level!

Runner # 2 looks very ... unique...
How on earth are you going to finish all of those welds? Will you untack all of the runners and then seam weld all of the els and then re weld them to the collecters and flange?

well basicaly jake yes mark it all up and pull it apart to weld and clean up it always looks messy when tacked up but i was trying for as close to equal length as poss and it aint far of i will finish piston 1# next week and then start on the wastegate when it arrives as i have to order it next week

Wow Steve, BIG UP :bowdown: . Those three front runners (1,2,3) are bastards, arent they? Especially when you try to go for equal length. Speaking of which; how long did your runners end up and what's the biggest length difference among'em?
I'd have to agree with Jake on runner #2, not only unique, I'd say scary man. Looks like the backbone of the monster in "Alien"...:evil2:

yannis thanks ;)
i will report on the length differences when i have #6 runner done but i dont think it will be a lot different
#2 wont look so noticable when #1 is done but i did think for a manifold and when it is sat in the car it looks evil as far as alien's back bone goes i like it :)

yannis had a measure up all runners are 24" with a 1/2" variation between them except #6 as i havent made it yet
so iam really pleased but will have to check with ian if a 1/2 "variation allows me to call it equal length ;)

Man you got some long runners there, I see quite a fat torque band in your future :evil2: . Mine are about 16" with 1/2" to 3/4" length difference among them. I have managed to have the bigger difference in the same one of three runners of each turbo.

Kurt: I didn't measure mine but it's much more than that!

It's more an interference fit header.

"Tuned Length" really only works well in a particular RPM band and for a street car you're more concerned in as wide a band as possible.
(comes back to we're NOT building race cars) ;)

<looking at my pics> looks more like 3" variation at least with #3 and #4 being the shortest!
