Steve: When I did the 4>1 Collector for the Datto I made a press tool that was 4 tapered pieces of bar welded together, I then put it all in the press heated the tube and pressed away.
dont have a press though ian just cut of saw and a anglegrinder mmmmm got couple of files lol :biglaugh:

decided to pull the old collector off and finish of the prep work ready for fabrication
i also have the shortest radius elbows ever for this manifold so should help.
I also included a photo showing how much bigger the 48.3mm is compared to the ss autochrome 43mm header

today part one
getting a little tired of moving the exhaust flange around to be fair had it on and of the car at least 10 times today cuttin and weldin after i found that i could not clear the runners on the exhaust
in the end i arrived at a position i felt was adequate by a couple of mm and shaved one of them sticky out bits of alloy of the turbo housing just enough to get clearence.
and so it was then i started to make the runners out of wedges so that i can swap them with 90 degree bends after when i know how many i will need with out having to waste any
bonus of the day was the downpipe i made fits perfectly into the rest of the exhaust system and mates up to the turbo in its new position result at last i feel like i am getting a little bit closer to some sort of completion

You are using weld el's? are those SS? They are much easier to weld than thin wall tubing you will have fun if you're not already.
