ground off ridges on valve covers

Could I do my 7m-ge valve covers the same way?
Just take a bench grinder to smooth the top surface flat and even, and sand for 100,000 hours?

7M-GE valve covers are grooves and not raised sections. You'd have to make the entire valve cover thinner to do it. Would take much more work.

So why bother using N/A cams in the 1st place... lol.

when welding the valve covers, you need to be careful. its cast aluminum, so there are some small voids, and they can warp if you heat them too much
