i did the sogi short shifter mod and it says to use the green seat/bushing to take out some vibration or noise. would this work instead or would the green one work better?

the marlin crawler seat will last longer and feel firmer. i have one. get the shifter tip cap also. the green truck gasket will be softer and may absorb more vibration but wont last as long.

to install the mc you insert it next to the two pins with the bottom of the seat facing upward and flip it around the pins so it is pushed down into the seat hole and under the pins. it will have a little flex to it when inserting.

What is the part number for the Green bushing? I cant believe Toyota doesn't list it as a part for the Supra, walked in without a part number and said its for a Supra, got "Well you need to buy the whole shifter housing, its $280" or something. HAHA, yet it lists the white Nylon end bushing which I got.

I've used both, the MC pieces are much better, provide a tighter shifter, and last much, much longer.

My original green bushing came out in tiny chunks. I put in the MC bushing and have loved it ever since.

I just pulled my shifter out and its the same way, bunch of little green chunks but I think its the factory one. Going to order two Marlin shifter seats, one for the truck one for the car. I bought a brand new nylon end peice and wow, its got alot more material than the old one, cant wait to see how it shifts.

One question about the shifter, is there supposed to be a rubber ring underneath the shifter seat? and which one do I order from Marlin? They list three, white, red and blue.. im guessing white?

Factory one is black. Nope, not supposed to be a rubber ring under the shifter seat, that's probably what's left of the OEM shifter seat LOL.

Don't force the shifter in, the fit of the socket ont he end into the space int he tranny is very tight, you'll have to do it several times to get them to slide in right.

Hmmm... odd, not sure which one you'd get now... Might just call him.

Someone had to have put that in there I guess, its definetly not a shifter seat, that part was completely mangled, The rubber ring has no wear on it, just looks like a rubber washer maybe cut to fit.. not a bad idea I guess if you have a worn seat to put something like that underneath but.. think ive found out why it shifts a bit sloppy haha.
