Yea in Mustang shows, which are much bigger, have like 30 classes. I don't see why they couldn't have at least 3 or 4 classes there.

Patrick, I would honestly say that I believe anything you do to that car will take away from the beauty that the judges saw. They were impressed with the way it looked like it hadn't shaken off all of the showroom yet. As said, awards for the MKIII are very rare. If I were you, I would continue with your car as you have planned, and be happy with it. Awards are great, but it is your car, and you want to enjoy it. Just don't get your feelings hurt if the awards don't continue. Let the car be your award, like the rest of us are stuck with. I just wish they would give awards for each generation. There are some fine examples of what a Supra should be right here in this thread of 3 of the 4 generations. I wish they could get some recognition sometimes.

Scott -
I realize I was a lucky SOB at the meet as there were a ton of nice cars there. I was shocked when they called my car out.
The only thing I would change to the exterior would be the things the judges deducted for. The fine swirls in my paint (not exactly sure how to fix that yet) replace rusted rotors and ugly calipers add maybe add a front lip of some sort, just not sure which on yet. I do plan to do some HP mods but will keep the stock appearance in every way possible. But the car is too slow for my taste in it's current form. I'd rather have the judges count off for HP mods vs run another 17.xx quarter mile anyday.

:1zhelp:
I also need to take lessons on how to launch and shift I think.

Scott - How is your car running these days. I hope you are all fixed up and running strong.

I had hoped to go to thei import shootout today in montgomery but have to work today so I wont be making it. Does anybody know if they run into the night. I could catch the last half if they run into the night.

Unlike Mr. Stock Red Fine Ass'd Supra........I've never won an award.........:cry:

However, what I cherrish most are highway wins, and I have plenty of those. Patrick's car will always be gorgeous, because it's in his nature to keep it that way. I would upgrade it just enough to stay in front of Ryan if I was him........:evil2:

Although their are rumors floating around that Ryan is looking for some upgrades of his own............so Patrick's victory may be short lived. Either way, we have a great group of guys on here and we all appreciate each others cars no matter what the judges think.

Scott, Are you going to the Montgomery show today? If so, please take us some pictures.

Patrick, I don't know how long the show goes for, so I can't truthfully answer your question.

Yea - I'm about 25 to 35 WHP away from my first Pony kill. As much as I like Ryan's car, it will be fun to hand him his ass as he hasn't hesitated to hand me mine more times than I care to discuss. The last time shelby county clocked us, he was well ahead. Or, that's what was documented.

Im anx to see how HUX racing does today.l I think they will have 2 MR2's on the race today. Hopefully someone can post up some results sometime tomorrow.

Dr. J - The last time I checked - ROTM was a huge ass award, and well deserved. Red supra's are around every corner, your's is a "ONE OFF" eye turner in every way.

Is Ryan stock completely? I think you should find a stock GT to take down first.

I think I saw Richard (nice black MKIV from Mobile - not BIll) post that he may be going to IFO. At least he was asking if anybody else was going. I'm not going, as I have a game to watch in an hour and a half.

My car is now running about as good as I think it is going to before I get it dyno tuned. That's soon to come!

I definitely agree with your comments on Jay's car. Not only was he ROTM, but wasn't he in the top 3 in ROTY? Nope, no recognition for the boost loosing one. lol

I was in the top three, but I also finished third out of three.............:icon_bigg

I would think that Patrick's car would be pretty close to a bone stock gt, but maybe the newer one's have a bit more under the hood stock than they used too. Either way, 40 more horsepower never hurt anyone.

I'm glad your car is running good Scott. It's been a while since you've had a good running supra. Hopefully it'll only get better.

I don't know what to do with mine. I've did everything that I can think of to get it fixed.

Yea. My car is "stock" haha.

I think he could beat a 96-98 NPI GT. Bone stock 99-04 would be close but I think it would be tuff. Especially with the mods I have. Patrick knows all about my mods haha.

it sounds like i'll never win award. so am thinking all i got going for me is my light weight 85? do they have a n/a award? i could might get that, by winning by delfault. :3d_frown: i dont think anyone in the state builds a cleaner n/a then me. how do they judge mkIIs? do they base the fact on how much you paid on the car? i mean taking my 85 that i paid 200 for. i mean how can they compare it to a mk4? it would be nice to show the judges from what you stated from. a car you bought from a junk yard without a title, and those fucking rats ate the interior. i mean building a car and buying a car are two diff things. it must be nice to have money. to all you bastards out there who didnt build your car fuck you! it kinda sucks knowing all your hard work will go unnoticed. sorry more the more i think about about it the more i get pissed.

Well said..............um, I mean....Said, well.........I guess we'll just have to love our back from the dead clunkers. Hard work, dedication, and heart are the very reason Keylan's N/A MKIV is one of my favorite MKIV's ever.

MKII = Real Love
MKIII = Real Heart
MKIV = Real Cool
