So, I bought a pair of some clear headlights with H4 bulbs to get rid of the yucky, sickly looking yellow beam and replace it with nice bright white ones. =]

I replaced my fog lights with H4 bulbs, and prepared myself to install the headlights.

As I took the old ones out, and prepared to place the new ones in. I see a pair of wires that weren't on the old headlights. One wire is black, one wire is white. At the end of both wires is a small copper circle thingy. The instructions told me to connect it to my parking lights to get the "Halo" look around my bulbs, whatever that is.

I'll try to get pictures soon! If you have any idea where these parking light wires are located, I'd greatly appreciate it! I received so much help here. (>^_^)>

The parking lights are when you go two clicks on the stick...the turn signals light up solid but the headlights don't flip up...3rd click makes the headlights flip up.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure this is correct...so it's your front turn signals or side markers.

yeah, they look particularly good when the headlights are down.

well if you turn the headlights on then turn it one click back to the parking lights you'd be able to see it...but whats the point...btw, whats the first click for on the parking/head/taillight switch..like if i turn to the first click(which doesnt click and has a circle beside it nothin happens, it clicks next to the first line and parking lights come on but nothing for the first place

The first click is for winter time. It allows you to leave the headlights up, so they don't freeze closed, and break something when you try to open them. Try it. Turn headlights on, click back 2 clicks, and see if the headlights don't stay up. Not on, just up.

I have the same headlights... And to be honest the light output it a lot better then the stock headlights... As for the two wires... I just didn't take the time to wire them...

Yea "Bright" = Blinding Oncoming traffic by the scattered non directed light produced by housings such as these. :3d_frown: The only H4 replacement housings to use safely are by Hella, Cibbie, Or AutoPal. These focus & direct the light onto the Rd where it needs to be. A set of these housings will run $80+.

You would have been better off to get stock Sealed beam replacements & doing a headlight rewire & relay. May cost a bit more then the ebay Housings but would be brighter & you will see the light directed on the rd. after proper aiming.

Link for info on the headlight & Relay rewire http://www.danielsternlighting.com/t...ys/relays.html

Do a search on headlight Replacement for more info.

I read some where the majority of these cheap ebay housings are actually euro lights(not just euro style). The problem with that is, they drive on the other side of the road. The reflectors meant to light up the sidewalk is on the wrong side so you blind on coming traffic using them here. Not sure if its true, I would never buy ebay lights.

I really hate when people have poorly aligned headlights or if the euro housing problem is real. The worst is lifted trucks that don't re-aim them after the lift.
