Possibly try to find a car with similar clearances and see if there's a specific kit for that car that could be modified to work.

Some kits are more compact than the universal kits. Look at the Celica G7 page down toward the bottom: http://www.lambodoors.co.uk/ I'm not saying that kit would work, but I'm sure there's one out there that would at least fit with some mods.

I probably don't really want to know, but what's the S2 kit for the MKIII run?

We didn't get any photos but Randy and I concluded that this kit would be too much trouble.

After looking at the S2 website and http://www.curve-ad.com it looks like these guys are using a custom made bolt-on hinge kit made specifically for each car, including the A70: http://www.google.com/translate?u=http://www.curve-ad.com/s2/&langpair=ja|en&hl=en&ie=UTF8

That green (chartreuse) car is HAWT. I've been looking into vertical doors. Try verticaldoorsinc.com They do custom kits if we can get (I think it's) 10 people or more in for $1100

Site didnt come up. But if a kit specifically for our cars came along, I'd jump in and buy a kit no doubt. I just dont like the idea of hacking up my car to get them to fit. My friend put a universal kit on his MX-3. They ended up banging out the fenders to fit the struts and now he has a bulge on either fender sticking out about 2 inches.

Looked at a lot of different manufacturers at SEMA a couple of years ago with a buddy of mine...Vertical Doors is THE company that makes the best kit for anything that you would convert. They've done all the vertical door kits for celebrity cars and all that. My buddy talked with the owner for a few minutes...he's installed a couple of their kits since...no problems.

yeah that's pretty nice, the only thing that I kinda don't like is how it looks like a tiburon.
