Idea #1. Go pick her up in the evening, drive around, talk (could cut out the driving part or cut down), ask her before the date to bring a swimming suite and go swimming somewhere at night (me and my friends used to go to apartment complex's and just use their pool/hot tub) then go after that for something fast food to eat?

Comments, Ideas, revisions?

Dinner and a movie then a drive with the targa off on a summer night is allways a winner!

put a bunch of random ideas and events in a hat and pull one out.

but seriously... the time you're spending together bonding is alot more important than the actual event or activity you're doing.

but maybe that's just me... dunno. I could have a good time with a girl in a cardboard box.

Dirty old men need not respond to that last comment. IJ, that means you! lol

But but....... ;)

For a thread that nearly turned abusive, this has turned around bigtime. Of course, that might have something to do with the fact that some guy pretending to be a girl posted in here, and everyone got all hot and bothered. Remember guys, there are no women on the internet. None. EVER.

There is some pretty good advice showing up now. :)

I should point out a few things, or at least clarify a bit. The woman that I leaned over to open the door for is my wife, we've been together for over 10 years now, and she enjoyed it. :) Recently she got even by doing the same to me in her Explorer, I get so used to the Supra that when it's dark out I can't fine the handle in HER car!

As for low cost dates, those are pretty easy. Anywhere that there is something to watch - hell, I've sat and watched a water fountain, for crying out loud. With the right company, it doesn't matter where you are. With the wrong company, it also doesn't matter where you are - you could be in the best restaurant in the world, with an unlimited budget, and if she's an evangelical white supremecist, I'm still going to drop her like third period Spanish. Do something that you enjoy, and next time, (when you have the budget to support it) do something that she enjoys. If you have a good time, keep going.

As for the subject of getting laid... that's another thing that I've never worried about. A girl will let you know if she wants to, and I've never run into a situation where it didn't evolve into sex eventually. As long as it really is a decision made by both (or in the case of Joe or IJ ;), all) parties, it's all good.

As for the ladies who might read this, some of which might be offended by one or more posts in this thread... I hate to point it out, but when you walk into a domain primarily containing young men, you have to expect a certain amount of flippancy. Most of them aren't serious, and the wonderful thing about the ones that are is that this is the internet, you can ignore them.

You guys are out in Ft Worth..... If anything, we could have a BBQ and ya'll can "come over."

Just say... a friend of mine's having a cookout... wanna come? Then, you don't have to figure out small-talk, etc. We all hang out talk different stuff, you take a look at all that 7M stuff you want, watch a movie, make shadow-puppets, etc.

Then ya'll can talk/laugh on the way home, 'bout how goofy we are and that I'm one of those old dirty men that looks young and clean

... which is why my fiance said yes :naughty:

I assure anyone in doubt I am 100% woman! it just so happens my father was a mechanic and taught me his love of cars... I never said it was a big deal, just slightly offensive and asked to have some level of respect. ive read through several threads posted, i found alot of helpful info i wouldnt have known. I enjoy working on cars, i am actually at peace when doing so. i maintain both of my own cars one being a 1987 firebird and the other being an 06 eclipse. im still learning about my eclipse. the guy i like has a supra that he enjoys working on it. i thought it would be nice if i took the step to learn about something he likes, making working on cars together more fun.
