I'm sure you can make 700hp. Get it to last longer than 30 seconds and I'll be impressed.

WTF is going on in here? Talks of 700hp 7m's and everything else under the sun... what have I stumbled into? :aigo:

If you're serious, DO YOUR HOMEWORK, and God help you, if you cut even a single corner, be prepared to face the consequences. I've seen plenty of high powered 7m's, but the number of them that could reasonably do daily driver duty are probably less than 10 once you clear the 600+ barrier. Good luck and prove us all wrong. :)

Edit: don't mean this to come across sounding like a dick, but the old saying "wish in one hand..." comes to mind when I see threads like this pop up. Gonna take a lot of work, but it can be done.

You could do it! $1500 of overnight parts from China.

Just put in a huge turbo, huge injectors, an fcd, crank up the boost, then you will decimate all!

Realistically speaking, what would it take? Approximately 10-15k to build a RELIABLE 7m that powerful, all related and needed parts/machining included?

Edit: Nice quote by the way. You can get all that on Ebay, right?

The engine is the easy part- its everything else that gets expensive. Standalone, turbo, exhaust, intake system, fuel system, oil system, gauges, etc!

I did my 7M up for ~5000 with JE pistons and eagle rods. AEM was 1800, Turbo was 2500, fuel was 1000, exhaust was 500, intake was 600, oil cooler was 500, the head will be ~1500, cams were 600, clutch will be 1700, and there's so much more... and I'm not buying the most expensive stuff (MoTeC/RonR/tilton) Building a strong engine is just the first step of many in the very long and sadistic process of owning a Supra

Steve, how did your fuel system run a 1000? Are the Areomotive pumps that expensive?

I priced my fuel system, with a modified hanger to hold a 044 in tank, then one in-line, fuel filter, AN fittings and SS lines everywhere, my own fuel rail what I have in my vendor thread and injectors and it came out to be a little over 900. All parts are new.
