did he have a roll bar? a 13 hp on a small 5hp frame is stupid IMO. i wanted to do something like that, maybe an onroad thing but now that i think about it, anything not designed by an engineer and made well enough to last production runs isn't safe enough to not have something protecting you from above..

so how did this kid crash? roll? or just a careless move into an immovable object.

i hit a tree once. crazy young moment of crap indecision. i learned to take things slow and take a path and go with it after i smacked that trunk. i didnt hit REALLY hard but i tell you it was the funniest thing...

I hit this plum tree in spring or whenever it in particular has all these little pink blossoms. the impact stunned me and also shook thousands of these petals down from the sky. everything was quiet, and i had a brief moment of "am i dead??" feeling because of all the pretty pink petals raining down on me. haha...

but anyway!! I got the RUSTY mower deck off at the guy's house and me and my dad pushed it up wooden ramps he made into the back of his truck. removing the deck and the steering wheel JUST cleared the camper shell. perfect fit.

and get this... i now have found a quad engine i can have!! but i'm not sure if i want it of if i can use it, i have to research it a bit more. bit i will post details in another thread, i need help identifying it. here are some more higher-res pics of the tractor. which i might ad does not appear to be leaking oil, and has CLEAN oil in the crankcase! he wasn't joking when he said he changes the oil often! i've never seen such a thing.

the only problem is the damn tractor probably has about 7 safety switches and i can't get power to the starter so today i have to trace that little problem and attempt starting it.

oh and toyotah8tr - I found out I/C means Industrial Commercial. so is there anything better over the non-I/C on this type besides the cast iron sleeve? i didn't realize i had found something of much importance. i'm so glad i grabbed it!

The I/C motors last longer due to a cast iron sleeve vs just an alumnum block. I've never found out what briggs did to make the "I/C quiet" motors....so thats something i dunno. Also, figit very nice find bout quad....seems like a lot of abandoned things out there:biglaugh: Id love ta find a quad just chillin. I might be gettin rid of all my stuff, due to today opening my cell bill to see a 300 DOLLAR BILL!!!! I hate version................
