Couldn't get the car finished in time for Vegas, bummed I missed it again. The wife is cool with me going to the Supra Nationals in TX this spring though (along with Vegas '08).

I've been super busy at work and haven't had anytime to spend on the car . . . until today.

I finished the install on the Turbo A duct on the new bumper skin, now all I have to do is take my bumper into the shop and cut out the center. I decided to use it instead of fabing up some AL piece. I know it will be heavier, but it is also much simpler to do.

A little more progress . . .

cut out the bumper:

And bolted it back on the bumper cover:

I pulled it back off and put a coat of paint on it to keep the rust in check.

Well she Runs! Eye-stinging, set-off the Carbonmonoxide detectors RICH, but she runs. I need to tune the EMS, but it has an old-school serial cable port not USB, and my laptop doesn't like the converter (serial to USB) so I had to dig out a 10 year old laptop I had before college (talk about slow tuning). I put a call into AEM to see if the unit can be retrofitted with the new USB port, waiting to hear back.

Will update with pics soon.

Small Update,
Got the car back from the shop doing some tuning, rewiring and fixing some other things. Still not running great, but is drivable. Dyno'd ~520whp @ 22psi, I don't have a print out (so I'm not going official with this number . . . yet). Still need to do a compression check (waterfall behind dash sounds again, hopefully the system just needs a burbing), PCV exhaust check valve is malfunctioning so getting a ton of blowby when it is connected (not driving with it connected, not driving it at all really).

Bumper is back on, but still need some bolts for the turn signals and to put the inner fender covers and fog lights back in. Clear front side blinkers are in and look good (I used white pvc caulking to seal them up, but should have used clear). I also have ShineAuto's Spec-B sides and some genuine Do-Luck Rears sitting in the garage waiting to get properly fit and painted. I like the Ab-Flug rears better, but Shine doesn't have a projected build for these and if I'm going to get finished by TX2K8 . . .

New Style HKS, shitty paint job, but a complete one (possible color change) is in the future plans

Couple of interior shots, new TRD Knob, new Toyota shift boot, e-brake cover, and arm rest.

Very nice build... Lots of trick ideas that are also functional.... Great reference material..... Time to go back out in the garage and do some more work on my build.... getting very close to dropping the engine back in....

Installed the shineauto b-sides and abflug rears, finally got around to taking some pictures. The paint on the rear bumper is turning yellowish so there is some mismatch (I sprayed them in genuine Toyota 043 white and they are somewhat off all over), but the rear bumper is the worst.

Plans for an entire repaint--and posible color change--are in the works now. When that happens, I'll bond the panels in properly. The crash of Indymac has left me a bit tenitive with my disposible income so it won't be until next year or later.
