Nice stuff joe!
I was talking to some people at the bike shop and I found a pair of shoes that fit me but there was no flexibility, and they say that its bad not to have any ankle flex.

So what boot am I supposed to wear? All of them where stiff as hell.

I feel compelled to chime in with everyone else.

I've been on dirt bikes and stuff since I was a kid. A few years ago I got a 2002 CBR 954 RR (bought new).

I was lucky. I had one incident in the first week (minor damage to the bike, none to me). Any time I feel like my concentration might be wandering I just remind myself of that. It's not like driving a car. I keep 95% of my concentration on the riding at all times.

Everyone's already said the usual things like "Ride like everyone's out to get you" and so on. My contribution is: just to never let your concentration slip.

I learned this very early with my supra, I started driving a crapaleir, then got my supra and had 0 respect for the power of the car and had the I'm badass attitude, not a week after I had it I was coming home and floored it at a stop sigh as my back wheels where in the gravel and it spun me 360 my head hit the window and I blacked out for I guess a couple of minutes, good thing I was on the back roads and no one was around, but since then I've had 100% of my concentration on the road.

Just like everyone else said don't skimp on your gear. I have been riding dirt bikes since my parents bought me one for my 8th birthday. i started street riding about 1.5 years ago and it is a totally different animal. i lived in Arkansas for a year and would come home to visit family and gf a lot. I drove 6 hours on my bike on interstate 40 through Memphis and almost to Nashville before taking highway 50 to my house. That will make you so tired b/c you have to watch out for all the idiots on the road. It amazes me how many people eat, drink, TEXT, PHONE CALLS, and put on MAKEUP in their vehicles. So just be careful and respect the bike. Don't be scared of it just respect it.

The boots and shoes will have to be stiff to avoid ankle rolls. The last thing you want is a detatched foot. They NEED to be over the ankle to provide the best protection. I can't tell you how many squids I see daily with a run of the mill brain bucket and no gear. It annoys me to see these guys feeding the sterotype. That and the damn stunters. Wheels are cool and all, but keep it off the road.

You will learn where your foot will need to be after the first time you scrape your foot in a corner. I learned that the hard wa; fun but scary.

Also, dont be buying motorcycles "for the chicks, man." Ride how you want to and my advice is get a cowl so the chicks are not always after a free ride. I have found that I can out corner most of the guys that bought their bikes "for the girls," and how bad of riders they are. Example: Mid corner breaking, inconsistnt lines, just all arround bad riding habbits.

Yea I am signed up for the 18th-20th of this month MSF.

I bought it because I've wanted it forever, and my 2 friends have one now. I always thought chicks didn't like the whole idea of a guy with a bike cause of the risk, who wants to get involved with someone who might be dead the next day.

AS for pictures! No farings >< and talked to the kawasaki/yamaha store guy, said they would be $259 each side Oo

Also all the boots I've tried on wont let my foot go up and down >< its like a cast on my foot
