Sound performance, I believe there top notch too on th400s,
they have the only th400 with overdrive & it can be control with the
AEM ems, that's if you have the money for it.

Yeah, I'll probably do the same thing that I'm doing with my single kit. Piece it together and save a lot of cash. IIRC it cost a local member 2500 to do his th350 swap.

Well one of my closest friends has a friend that used to work at sound performance & he can def help you on a th400, i think he builds them...
I am no too fond of autos..... i rather save the loot for a getrag & custom ring & pinion....

The general concensus on SF from those who had 6spd then swapped to a TH400 seems to be that if you enjoy driving your car around regularly and on the freeway, a TH400 sucks. If you're only worried about your drag time, then it's great.

Alot of them either sold their TH400 cars for another 6spd car or swapped back to a 6spd.

You are very right, i enjoy driving my soo much, I am even selling my 450hp mitsubishi galant vr4, so i can get my supra up & running (rodknock) but back on topic, like i said, you are very right on people switching from 6 speed to auto back to 6 speed, th400 are incredible at handling power, highway driving just sux, I am gonna get a getrag after i buy my house next spring, I'll keep you people update, I just need more info on the custom ring & pinion.

Man i know hwat you mean, I have to sell, i need the money so i can pay everything i owe so i can get a house around spring, I have spend my money in the right places on the galant, I broke the tranny, i upgraded to the best, I got a fully built tranny from sheperd, timing belt snapped, i got a head built by AMS, BIg ass intercooler, My interior.... i replace the interior with a evo 8 interior, front & back seats, suspension, took me 3 months to get the danm springs from australia (whitelines) i recently upgraded to a SCM 61 turbo, well
i have spend over 20 grand on the galant & onre of my closes friend is buying the car from me..... sorry for goin going off topic... but you see, if i say i want a getrag.... i'll get a getrag installed, I just want more info on the custom ring & pinion, I don't want to cut up my baby for a solid axles crap...

And yes you can find an 3.25 Diff for an Mk3 the Turbo A came with an 3.25

I have more pics about the shifter where you have to bang the tunnel etc etc so iff some one need info let me know

Iff you swap the 6 speed you want to go as low as possible (diff)

Mk4 is like 3.2 and Mk3 is 3.73

With te 6 speed and diff 3,73 you have to shift to many times the 1 speed is very short

We (mk3) can go lower then 3.25 :sarcasm:

Gearcode G662 is what you need it came in toyota trucks its 8 inch and it wil fit the mk3 diff

Can anybody make a copy of this guys ring & pinion??? I ask curt aigner from elmhurts toyota about this diff, It think he misunderstood me, his reply was MKIII never came with this lower ratio.... it be great if someone can copy this ring & pinion.

Whats with the th400 talk it's shit, why not just upgrade your a340E?

Guys have pushing 9's in mk4's so far with the BL bulit stockers.

I'm so undecided what to do after my next r154 breaks. I want a 6 spd but I odn't want to drop 6 more k on my mk3 to have a 6 spd.

Add 10 more and i can buy a 1993 JDM mk4. I've already put far too much in to my mk3.

But i really dont want a auto! I like to go around a track not just 1/4
