ya wtf happened? ive heard its because of the election, but cant verify, and doesnt sound right. Obama and mccain paying the difference?

poodles, grab a few 5 gallon jugs and head to addison, gas station near my apt. drops nearly every morning on my way into work!

Something like this isnt from an election, its the entire world, and the global demand just isnt there. OPEC is doing everything they can to raise the price back up. But, everyone is going broke, losing their jobs, and just not driving i guess. Ive been driving more than ever since a full tank is so close to being 20 bucks again like the good old days! it was like 32$ to fill up my 924, better than 50 or almost60 a few months ago. When i was in highschool 5$ got me back and forth to school all week. And it was more than a quarter tank. 1.50 gas ftw!

$62 for a barrel of oil right now, thats why gas is cheap.

$2.75 here currently.

Lol, yes a lower cost of a barrel of oil will result in a lower gas price.

Now why is the cost of a barrel of oil going down?

Quick search through news articles says demand simply is less. Down ~5% from last year. Basic econ, as I recall says: Lower demand => lower cost.

^^^ I did notice for the past year or so that we started to have a lot more bicyclist out in the road rather than cars. :sarcasm:

Filled up the DD yesterday at $33.00 and $2.49/gallon for 87 octane at Shell.

Without fail I get 2-3 more MPG using Shell gas over Murphy USA gas, plus it's cheaper, so I've switched ;)

Here in Southeast Misery it's 2.39 down from a 3.99 high. Some places were over 4/gal. Poplar Bluff Missouri rips everyone a new asshole.

I hope the oil companies saved their pennies while prices were high.

:biglaugh:

I'm going to assume that the $100,000/yr starting wages paid in Fort MacMurray are eventually going the way of the dinosaurs.
