This is the video of first start up notice as soon as the engine starts it knocks then goes away. This noise got louder and more consistent on second start

How could it possibly have rod knock if all the rod clearances were checked during install?
Is it making good oil pressure? Or is it possibly piston slap?

I hear and feeling it coming from near the top close to the front of the motor. Jordan is dead set its rod knock cause its rev dependent. But there are other things rev dependent it could be piston slap, cams, valve train. At first I thought it was coming from the cams but after taking the valve covers off we couldnt find anything notice and even ran it for a bit with the covers off to see if we could see anything unusual but it seemed fine.

Jordan was too paranoid and concerned. Thes car has only run 30 seconds at a time. It hasn't been to operating temperature when I was there. The weird thing is the machine shop had it running on the engine dyno.

Take a screwdriver, place handle against your ear and poke around the block with the other end.
It helps pinpoint where the knock is coming from and it helped me confirm that I had rod knock on my old car.

I sincerely hope it is only piston slap.
When I rebuilt the motor I just mentioned, it sounded like a diesel until it reached FULL operating temp (wouldn't always go away unless driven).

Well I really don't want to drive the car and ruin anything because its was not piston slap.

As far as a loose flywheel bolt it has a locking ring but the machine shop installed it last. Oil pressure was very good.

Also the sound was intermittent it stoped completey and came back multiple times.

Car has not been at full op temp. Oil is mobile 1 5w30 about 7quarts of it

Also on first startup we seemed to have a good smooth idle. On second start up its was very lumpy 400rpm to 550-600

Only thing that changed is we plugged is factory 02 sensor and plugged up a coolant port on the water pump that was spraying coolant all over the alternator ...
