Head lights look Celica-like, Rear end looks GTR-ish, and I hate the 370Z looking side window. What is the point of glass if it's less than a square foot?

Nice looking little car though. I'd rock one if it were Scion TC priced for sure.

Boxer engine spoils it for me.... :nono:

Yeah same here, seems to me they got the whole powertrain bass ackwards. When Toyota picked upFuji Heavy Industries I was seeing Subi AWD mated to Toyota powerplants. I was not expecting what they did with the FT-86.

Huh? What are you talking about? You mean it "seems" to you as when you look at it or you actually think is an inappropriate setup?

If is the latter you choose... YOU'RE WRONG!

Yeah, look wise is not the prettiest in the world, but performance wise is in a whole other ball park.

For starters, a boxer engine is the only piston engine that is perfectly balanced and doesn't need counterweight. Also, add to the mix their position in the engine bay as it related to gravity. It sits far down in the engine bay allowing for better center of gravity.

If Toyota does the chassis right with a proper gear box and a proper LSD and suspension; this thing is gonna be a killer within its class! :naughty:

Pardon me if I totally disagree with you. I won't knock the engineering merits of the boxer engine. But nowhere does it say I have to like the fucking thing.

I would rather see Toyota mate Subaru's AWD to one of their FAR FAR more reliable motors.

I've heard enough boxer engine worship this week from the Subaru fan boys in my area to make me want to puke!

Damn i like it, it's very different to what i see on the roads every day.
And lets face it, if we can put up with the idiosyncrasy's of the 7mgte i'm sure we can find a way to make this little boxer engine fly.
Less hate and more support for toyota to change up from the usual boring as crap yarris and camry's.
