i will be going to a junkyard to get a cable

if i do find 1 i will keep you posted on what it came from

im thinking the 2.2 will work
my 90 celica i swapped to a 3sgte had a long throttle cable...it originally was stuntin a 2.2 5sfe

Pretty sure its the 4 banger. Im using the camry cable on my 1jz. Fits perfect. Took up all the freeplay as well. Throttle is nice and touchy.

The throttle cables I sold (one to hvyman) were from 1994-1996 Camry 4-cyl and V-6 cars, with cruise control. Not sure if cruise changes the length, but its what I have in my car

what throttle body is everybody running with their ffim?
got a pic of how you mounted throttle cable to the throttle body?
is your cable mounted to the intake to hold it in place?

Here's mine, my manifold is flanged for a Q45, and I have a spacer/adapter plate that goes to the stock TB- cable bracket bolts to the adapter flange bolt.

i have seen some ffim that only need to drop the alt down a few inches and still keep the a/c compressor in place
there was actually a bracket in the forsale section to drop the alt down a few

All depends on what style and the way it was made.

If you order one from seth you have the option for it.

as for me i have the ron r alt relocation bracket
a/c is long gone lol
im thinking about doing a before and after dyno with 6psi boost and 12psi boost to see if theres any changes
im sure boost prolly be seen 100-200rpm sooner ::bhg::

Less pressure drop and faster response. Id be interested to see the dyno graphs as well with back to back dyno with same mods and boost.

What about the one posted earlier today in the For sell section.. you think it will be able to keep A/C or theres really no way to tell without trying it?

I'm willing to buy it tonight since the price is cheap lol. I hate the way the stock manifold runs.

that intake does look like you would have to relocate the alt
if you look at my manifold that i posted pics of it curves along the strut tower and around the alt almost making it fit without any other modifications

that intake posted in the for sale section is just a stock 7m intake, flange for throttle body cut off and welded onto the front half of manifold
heres what i originally was going to do
pop my hood
take a 3in piece of aluminum pipe
mock it up on my manifold and adjust to where my alt could stay in stock location
mark where the best spot it
take a spare upper intake section to a buddy with a tig!!! welder and tell him to get to work
you will have about maybe 100 in labor
maybe 30 in supplys

BUT i later found out that there was going to be some issues with the proper air flow getting into each cylinder(not saying anything bad towards him or his intake)
Thus why my ffim intake gets smaller on the backside

Thats fine with me. i want it so i can run my intercooler piping shorter and out of the way.. It does say i need to drop the Alt. But i was just curious if i can drop it just a tad to keep the a/c

He says he just has a block off plate where the old TB spot was.

This is not going to mess up the flow at all?

It will disrupt the smooth airflow, and is a major reason the factory manifold is a poor starting point for a FFIM. If you look at the angles, it was designed to flow evenly from the center, and if you look at a RonR or a sSethron manifold, they are designed to flow smoothly to all cyls from the front. It's a basic design characteristic that needs to be there for it to work correctly and safely.

Will it work: yes, but not 100%.

It just wont be optimal correct? or will it cause problems? would it be worse then a Stock Manifold setup? could i see any gains ?
