Not sure, I haven't seen flow numbers on it, but the shape of the plenum area would lead me to believe the air distribution would be uneven. How bad would that be: no idea.

Thanks for the imput.... and the ebay ones are no good also?

hmmm the ones from Seth are amazing but $700 is alot and after all is said and done for Shipping and Relocate brackets/Belt/Flanges for ISC and CSI (not even sure what CSI is lol) and throttle body not sure if the stock one bolts up to his Long Runner? and whatever else im missing that ill need.

It seems to be a $1000+ upgrade NOTE:that i would love to have

The Ebay ones are designed for RHD cars, they hit the brake booster unless modofoed, and even then they have not proven themselves (that I have see) to be a great upgrade. But then again, some will say an FFIM is a waste in the first place so its whatever :p

Seth and Ron's manifolds are designed to be a ffim layout and flow correctly to all the cylinders, which makes you a happy camper. It might cost a lot, but its well worth it if you're going for bigger power goals to get a quality manifold that flows well and evenly.

If I was a baller and had the money I'd drop it on either a CNC sethron mid-runner, or the Suprasport cast unit. Both are very spendy but they both boast impressive flow gains!

Get whatcha pay for lol

I remember reading the stock intake flows better than ffim for stock or mildly upgraded cars

If you really want a good ffim get a 2j upper intake manifold
Use lower 7m intake
Cut bottom out of 2j intake and weld together
Would hurt to do a gasket match port and polish to lower intake

Without 6 individual egt sensors on exhaust manifold its hard to show what intake really flows the best
But this would also have to be on a brand new engine would perfect specs

1000 for a ffim is high but good quality parts with great specs to back it up ...if I had a grand laying around id probably just build my motor 1st lol

Hey so I came across this thread and noticed the link to the ffim I had (and still have) for sale. I definitely agree that it isnt as good as a sethron or ron r one nor as beautiful. However it is a cheap alternative. I have one just like this that I have had on my car for a year or so, made 245whp and 267wtq at 9 lbs stock ct on a really conservative dyno. the curve was good and it made 200lbft at around 2200 rpm. Just my 2 cents.

^^im sure boost prolly be seen 100-200rpm sooner ::bhg::

Less pressure drop and faster response. Id be interested to see the dyno graphs as well with back to back dyno with same mods and boost.

Before and after the throttle body is not the same. A larger plenum (which is really where a FFIM gains) lowers velocity, but has higher CFM. Potentially much higher with a really large plenum and shorter runners. The manifold will have no change on how fast it responds, unless the intake charge is so slow from the enlarged plenum that natural engine response is reduced.
