i heard there is a clearence problem on the frnt cross member of a pre 89 mkIII what can you do to clear it i need some ides of what you guys have done please

make sure you have a rear sump oil pan...

With my 2jz swap using 1jz brakets and poly mounts my sump was about 1/4 in away from making contact. I have not had any problems with it hitting though.

I belive BIC mounts get the engine up high enough that you will not have a problem.
