Thanks JD, Scott & Jake, very kind words indeed. Jon does some kick ass work, so props to him. I swear to you, Jon's work looks 10x's better in person. Little details like the downpipe being canted 5 degrees opposite of the turbo so the DP runs straight back & welds that are clean as hell & uniform has me anchored in Jon's camp.

Three words to remember: Buy from Jon!

how are your manifolds holding up? I was looking at the other ebay mani that is portrayed to have reinforcement, but when i talked to him he said that he whould only recommend 400hp at the max and I was like WTF. the stock turbo does that on the stock mani. So waht are you guys doing to strenghthen your manifolds?

Thank you guys so much for the kind words! Gave me boose bumps...

Any who, these flanges are mild steel and will need to be coated if you dont' want them to rust. They are only $100 + shipping.

Mark: Any update on that setup? Thank you for also showing that 100% hand made down pipe! :)

ALL: The ebay t4 manifold is a great piece for the price. I have only 3 problems with it, all fixable.

1.)The wastegate flange is 90 deg off. I cut mine off, ground it down and rewelded it. Without this mod, the dump tube hits the fender or the block. With the mod, the tube exits the rear like it should.

2.) Unported. I had to actually finish porting my manifold. There was several areas that weren't finished and or had weld boogers on the inside

3.) The early versions have the #1 cyl runner hitting the oil filter manifold. Tape off every thing, and get a grinder and actually grind the fins off the oil manifold. Its just soft aluminum. Or, install an oil filter relocation kit

Just so you guys know, Im willing to fix any ebay manifold that any one buys.

I went to see my motor today. The machinist has the pistons & crank in, but not the oil pump. I'll pick the motor up in the morning, so I should have 90% of the motor assembled this weekend. Look for an update on my build thread on Sunday.

I have my SS & aluminum pipe pieces in for my exhaust & I/C piping, respectively, so I'll have the downpipe completed sometime next week.

It's taken some time, but it's coming together quickly now. :icon_bigg

Mark thats awesome. Hopefully every thing fit that I sent you?

I'm sure it will. The only things that I can think of that I need to pick are a fuel pump & something to bypass/loop the turbo coolant loop bungs.

my goodness that looks awesome. How much do you have in the whole set up? And how does the rest of the DP attach?

Looking great, making me want to go ahead and redo my aging HKS sport turbo setup.....

I bought everything from MDC, minus the wastgate which came from BigAaron. I'd rather not give the actual cost, but it was an amazing deal. PM Jon, I'm sure you'll be happy you did.

I'm going to complete the downpipe. I'm completely reworking my exhaust system too using 3" 304 SS.

I now have a T78 on the manifold and it fits just fine. :D

My TO4E compressor housing hit the strut tower (the reason to use a T78), even after persuading it with a hammer... :(

Oh well, more powah = bettah. :D
