My friend and I were in his WRX and a girl on the side of the road literally fell over onto the grass next to her when he backfired about 10 feet away from her. I was laughing for hours.

i have a ddp and a 3. something dragger exhaust and mine shoots from teh ddp and the tip sometimes between shifts and on decel. i thik you just gotta run catless and runhard and youve got it
Best thing is taking an offramp at 100+mph with open DP, downshifting to 4th gear while hard on the brakes, running it up to 6500rpm on a rev match, and watching everything around you light up a bright orange, the guardrails reflecting the light.
