You use it for the valve covers in the corners on the ends and a couple spots where the block meets timing cover, but not on the head gaskets. But you knew that right? It is the right stuff! A very light film all around the v/c's works good too.

What about the corners of the head/block?

Now pay homage to my awesome beard!

^ if you read that entire article, you'll notice that it says that you CAN use it on the headgaskets, just not if they still have their Viton coating. (which mine didn't...)

I have a cork gasket that came with the toyota gasket set. Im not gonna use it though. Hopefully 3.0 oz's is enough to do the oil pan too. They said it was :dunno:
Good idea, dont use the cork, you should have plenty as long as you dont make the bead too thick. Also, make sure to run the bead around the inside of the bolt holes, so oil won't start seeping out of them.

a bit of the gasket material peeled off when I seperated the head and the block after running it a few minutes. Im sure its still gonna seal at 60+ lbs of torque but i was thinking of using a very small amount to fill in for the lost gasket material.
