Ah, well as long as you weren't trying to get more power by tricking the computer into thinking the coolant temp was different, then kudos goes to you for using your brain to fix a problem for cheap, and best of all: TEMPORARILY!!! lol

Ya it's only effect was during cranking when the ecm is looking for a signal to fire the cold start injector.

did that ebay kit give you enough piping for upper and lower pipes? i've been lookin at them for a while and they look nice but that was one thing i was worried about.

More than enough. The two 45's make up the lower ic pipe. The two 90's go under the frame rail and through the snorkel hole and the two 75's and one straight make up the upper ic pipe.
