Where did you get the syncros, bearings, seals and what looks like thrust washers to rebuild your tranny from? Ive been looking for a place to get new thrust washers for the r154 but cant for the life of me find them.

That is awesome man!

But is that carpet you are working on? Cause if it is 1.You are a very brave man. 2.You must not be married, because no way in hell would a woman allow you to work on an engine on the carpet.

My wife's cool with it :) Yep, it's carpet. Why do you think I married her? :D I've got some old shirts underneath the old towel to keep oil off the carpet - plus I have a kickass carpet cleaner ;)

Nobody taking any cracks as to what is going in the new build?

LOL, nope. It's my stroked 2.8 (3.1L) that used to have an ebay 'Super T70' on it huffing 10psi into it's 8.5:1 compression, all running on a '749 GM ECM SD setup + 2 bar MAP to the tune of 306hp, running a 13.2 ;) Anywho, that's not the thread topic!

Does the fact that you have the papers for the MAFT Pro w/speed density and boost sensor, laying out right in front, have anything to do with what your hinting at? :p

I also see a 6 puck, sprung clutch and a descent intercooler, FPR, what I assume to be a walbro fuel pump, and few other odds and ends, and what looks to be the beginnings of a fresh R154.

Looks to be the makings of a fun and spirited 7M.

Where are you seeing an FPR? ;) You've got the rest of it correct!

-R154 being rebuilt with new fresh seals/bearings/synchros
-6 puck sprung clutch + new clutch kit
-gigantic freaking intercooler (bigger Spearco from Aaron @ Driftmotion)
-Walbro 255
-MAFT-pro complete with SD + EBC (Thanks, Mike!)

Alright, Day 1 -

The entire intake tract is out, from the turbo to the TB, and the nose is off. Off to a good start!

Day 2.5

So yesterday, I took the 3/8" NPT oil relocation kit (the universal Summit one) and I drilled it out with a 45/64" drill bit, and tapped it for 1/2" NPT.

I picked up 14' of Aeroquip FC332 5/8" line, and that's what I'll be running.

It's a tight fit - but a fit, nevertheless!

Yes, it will be. Tomorrow's plan - getting the oiling system done, the stock turbo out, and the exhaust out.

26th will start with the Automagic taking a LONG WALK OFF A SHORT PIER.
