...oh... wait a minute! You didn't mean that with regard to the SIG quote (Kristel's) that I just read in the prior post... I'm sure.:sarcasm:

Nearly gouged my eyes out at the sight of sawblades on the front!!!!!

But being that low looks pretty cool!

Anyone have any ideas on how to stop my key coming out of the ignition when it's on??

Have tried all 3 barrels we have on hand, and they all do it.

Also got 6 keys cut this morning in different thicknesses, and none of them stayed in!

Car can't be registered until i can get a key to stay in :(

On the subject of keys and lock barrels

I have been looking in vein since I got my car for an 89 (early style key) drivers door lock barrel, the illuminated type for the GT Limited.

The point being that if I cant find one, I may resort to replacing the entire lock set in my car for the newer style, and if so I may well have a barrel to sell you Kristel.

When you get a chance, take a pic of your key for me so we can see which one you have

Yeah the one that works in all the locks of your cars

The difference between the 2 styles is easy to spot.

I found out the hard way .....

THat part helps but its the lock itself I need

Basically on mine the dust cover is missing, and I cant replace it as part of the recess for it on the barrel is worn and the dust cover jams (explains why they must have removed it I guess) so anyway, even a US lock is not the same, I knew the exterior was mirror image but expected the internal barrel to be compatible as they take the same key, BUT NO

I had this lock saved for years for when I got around to using the bits to fix mine and just landed into and EPIC FAIL

Ok cool.

Not urgent, as I'm borrowing Ian's to pass rego, then I'll just put my current one back in until I decide I want to give an arm and a leg to Toyota for a brand new one :)
