i was at the japanese toyota site and i learned that they are now killing the MRS line and calling it the MR-S final. it makes me sad they toyota is killing off all thier toyota badged sports cars.

When I bought my supra from my boss he tryed to sell me his 87-88(year with big swaybars) mr2 i think i might still buy it only wanted 300 for it but the motors gone. I like all Mr. 2s there just such great handling cars I hope toyota changes there mind and doesn't can it

All I know is Toyota better come out w/ a "Sports/GT" car. RWD be it FR or MR layout. Toyota has to out do Nissan/Honda and domestics right?

And I still mean what I said last post. They're still doing fine even with lack of Sports cars.

He means they're not in competition with other makers in the sports car market...

Toyota as a company is doing great, yes. But they do not offer the amount of sports cars that other companies do.

Toyota whined that the sales of the MR-S here in the states were the suck.

However, they only spent about $100 marketing the damn thing, and the car the marketing was done was mostly toward the 18-24 crowd. Really, the age group that couldn't afford $25+ for a new car.

...unless you're a smitten 19-year-old female nutcase who would have sold her soul to have the car. But, y'know. Whatever.

I know exactly what he meant. I'm simply saying that IMO they don't need to compete with them because they're doing great without sports cars.

Hopefully, no one else quotes me so I don't have to repeat myself for another time :)
