MR2 was awesome, the MR-S is just lame IMO spyders are lame, t tops and targas are better, and come on NA, WTF NA is uber lame. Toyota hasn't made a good sports car since 98 and I doubt they ever build one again, at least for now. I think the muscle cars are coming back with a vengance seeing the new GT Stangs, Shelbys, New Camaro, and the tenative release of the new Cuda and Challenger, I hate to say it but I think Toyota's done for 5 to 10 anyways sports car wise. It's sad but true the MR2 GTS and Supra were it, the celica is a wanna be really unless you really tune em, and Scion's I just can't stand.

Not really. They're doing fine now.

Yeah, as far as parent's, old men with ED, enviro-freaks, & truck lovers are concerned sure. But Toyota needs to inject some life into their lineup if they want to instill some brand loyalty with younger buyer's.Younger buyers ( unless they fit into one of the above catergories.) dont wanna buy Camry's or Prius'. I mean lets face it, the Celica is gone, MR2(S) is going away, the Corrolla is a boring car, what else they got? The only thing remotely sporty is the Tacoma X-Runner. Nice truck sure, but not everyone likes or even needs a truck. Of course the Lexus ( new ones) are out of most of our reach. So that realy narrows it down too... hmm... I think if I am ever in the market to buy a newer "sporty" car I will be paying the Honda/Acura dealer a visit as of now( I know Honda's aren't that sporty, but the new Si is nice, plus used S2000's are getting cheaper!!) Doesn't Toyota understand that they need to have some kinda sporty car in there lineup? They surely can't let Ford and Nissan have all the fun in the 20-40K sports car segment can they? Nothing makes my penis more soft then walking into a showroom and seeing nothing but a shiny new Prius or Camry...tsk.tsk...!

I know exactly what he meant. I'm simply saying that IMO they don't need to compete with them because they're doing great without sports cars.

Hopefully, no one else quotes me so I don't have to repeat myself for another time :)

The discussion was about toyota's sportcar line-up. Not how they're selling eco-cars.
Toyota's doing great... everyone knows this, thanks.
