I threw together an accurately spaced model... should probably ignore the front holes, I improvised cause I can't remember where they are and they're missing from the DXF.

I'm going to do some material analysis of HCEP epoxy we mold with at work... such as pressures, heat exchange, and strength... (I only have access to ash testing, and TG glass transition analysis.)


My plan is to get time on the 3D printer where I'll make one complete mold, apply acrylic to seal it, then run some prototypes. It's going to be a while... I just don't have the free time anymore :(

Let us know when you come up with a "composite" manifold.

Yup!

This model was just one of about 5 different designs I made... it's kinda hard to see in the silica, but there is a little taper... I think it's some odd 15 degrees.

I'm going to try making some tubular style ones next time around.

I can calculate the volume the next time. (posting from work)

But,

Yes, it's the stock head bolt pattern and inlet pattern thanks to 2quick who sent me the DXF file.

I maximized the volume by manipulating the oval to circular shape.


PS.

It'll probably look a lot less "fluffy" once I spray it with acrylic.

are you designing to fit with the stock alternator location? And stock TB?

I could do a model a the alternator and bracket, as well as a basic head so you can fit the manifold up. Not much help, but might be useful for refining your design?
