...well... don't believe I've posted this thread!
Okay, here's a couple... starting with some OLD ones. (All self-portraits... as no one else wants to take my picture! DOH!)
^^^ That's the "crisp-Jovi" era... perhaps?:biglaugh:
(I shot that back in '87 in the campus photog studio for a B&W portrait assignment... I'm such a virgie here!:biglaugh:
Here's me the same year as above... but after working a summer of "dokata" (construction/laborer) in Japan... I was pretty tight for a spell... and then I turned into the stay-puff-marshmallow-man somewhere along the line.:biglaugh:
^^^ In my basement "model-train-room-to-be"...
^^^ Tokyo night-life...
^^^ Set up this self-portrait with timer and available light from a fancy cocktail lounge that was "On Top Of Tokyo". Unfortunately, I had a friend "hold" the camera for the angle, and they had a little trouble holding still. Musta been the hundred-dollar bottle of champagne that the "Modern-day Samurai-Swardsman/Sales dude" who took us there bought! Didn't help that we were TOTALLY wasted already when we arrived at nearly midnight. BTW, that's a hundred-dollar cigar I'm smoking, also courtesy the Samurai/Sales dude.
Here is the hand-held shot through the view window I took that night, with the Tokyo Tower in the background to right. I love the low "cloud cover" and the textured wisp of steam from the cooling towers atop the adjacent building. (Note the blue art-deco furniture visible in the lounge in the building across the way. Neat.)
Lately, I'm just one of these...
