Hello KWatanabe,
No need to be a cunt. You don't need a mentor? Good for you.

We ain't old teacher, so don't take it perssonal.:biglaugh:
Besides we all know he's trailing Duane, and Ron. Ahemmm, cough, mentors.....:naughty: :biglaugh:

Besides there are plenty of younger guys that can be mentors. Who said mentors had to be old.

yeah, Im old and I need a mentor, and some of these young guys here could definately teach me a thing of two. I'll be the first to admit that even with my firm understanding of the basics, I have alot to learn.

Actually my focus isnt what it used to be. I think I was a better mechanic 10 years ago.

Or better yet can't add 1+2=3 for select fit bearings.

LOL that sounds all too familiiar!

I Like to think of myself as one of the younger guys, who researched a metric-shit-ton, and learned mostly from others mistakes, and also from my own!

IJ. is my mentor :icon_bigg

Also have had help from countless other members here, Jdub, JetJock, Duane, Ron, I've got plenty of people watching my back helping me ensure I get this build done right!

Another point is people giving incorrect advice, there's no shame in admitting you don't know something this is usually better than posting your best guess and it being wrong.

Always try and be open to learning something new there have been many times I've been proven wrong and instead of getting all butthurt and pissy I'll thank the person for correcting me and then that knowledge flows on the next time I'm asked.

i bought my first car when i was 15 it was a 89 honda crx with a bad clutch. I
had no idea what the hell i was doing but i bought myself a repair manual and went to work tearing it apart. After 2 weeks i had it up and running without any problems. knowadays i can do a clutch in about 4 hours that includes the time to get it up on jackstands and i can change an axel inabout an hour lol
almost 5 years later with countless cars repaired all i can say is theres no better teacher then knowing that if you can't fix it then your f*cked lol

Thats a well said statement IJ.....never be too big to admit flawed misrepresented information. Most people get mad and get an attitude when they find out that their info is wrong. This annoys and amazes me for sure.
