Exhaust question

So I have an exhaust leak where my pipe rusted off the resonator. So I'm looking to get a 3" cat back with a new down pipe. So I'll be running one cat since I can't seem to find a down pipe with a cat inside.

Anyhow, my question is will I need a tune after a new bigger exhaust system? A buddy of mine is saying since I will have more air flow I will probably need a tune for more fuel fixture. I've done some searches but haven't really found a definite answer. My car is all stock except cone filter intake and the driftmotion intercooler and hard pipes.

A little bit more of a detailed response would be, the AFM(Air flow meter) will see any 'extra' airflow the engine might receive and will make the adjustments from there.

Also to add to that the ecu will and adapt for larger quantity of air in it's short term fuel trim maps(constantly changing). So the answer is no, no tune needed.
