I think if its in tech and has a gay title like that it should be deleted or changed. And if its a question thats been done 100 times.........god I hate that, I'd lock it up.

Great job to all the mods. I'm sure it's mostly a thankless job but we do appreciate the work you do. I think we are getting so close to a better stronger community and website. The mods deserve most of that credit, but a few of our members are stepping up and trying to make it better as well.
I don't know as much about our cars as some, but when I do read a question that I know the answer to, I post it as soon as I can so I feel like I've returned a favor that someone has already given me. I don't know alot about the electrical stuff on our cars, but I still try and help amap.
Keep up the good work and again.............THANKS

how about adding a rule where people cant answer Every problem with 'BHG'. lol seems like 99% of all problems people ask about the majority of answers are all repeating BHG with no explanation of Why.

we all know the supra is prone to bhg but its gotten outa hand i think at least. end up having to weed through bhg posts to find anything usefull.

I think the mods do a good job, no other site I know of will let so much go on as this site. My sig alone would get me banned for life over at SF, here anyone can advertise their website or parts they sell. i don't mind a few jokes now and then, but in the last month or two it seams that usless jiber jabber and post whoring fill too many threads. Also too much thread jacking.

I would rather see a new guy ask a question that has been asked a million times, than to read 20 worthless post in a thread where the poster is asking for help. Thread hyjacking, post whoring, poor information, sarcasm, curse words, and flaming. IN that order, are the worst problems any site can have.

This is a great website, lets keep it that way.

I am one of those new guys who have asked questions that have been answered a million times and I want to say thank you to everyone who has been kind enough to answer them for me. I am fairly new to SM and to MKIII's, although my love for them started in 91. No one has ever been a smart ass to me either. I love this forum. It has helped me fix some very annoying problems, i.e. hatch rattle, loose auto gearshifter. I finally got both mirrors to match and did not have to paint,(thank you kwnate! ). Anyway, I will probably ask some more question later on as I tackle my BHG and I know a lot of you very knowledgable people will be glad to help so thanks in advance.

Also, post whoring did make it difficult to search topics. I am currently still using dial-up so sifting through was very difficult and time consuming.

I have been on here for a while now, at first i knew nothing about our cars, but alot of the guys on this forum helped me out alot. Yeah i asked stupid questions sometimes, but it always got anwsered. But what i dont get is if you go look for technical info on whatever you need help with, almost all the time the thread you look at is all about whatever problem you have. Maybe there is a couple posts in there joking around with the person about there problem or what not, but it is mainly good info. So why cant people just look past those little side conversations, or read them and maybe get a little laugh, rather than getting mad because it isnt helping them? Most of the jokes i see are in the OT section, which is not where you look for info on your problem. So if you are only on here for technical stuff about your car you should stay out of OT. Right? Just my 2 cents. k bye :icon_bigg

I totally agree.....not sure if people are being ignorant or just funny, but that word is used too much, i have also seen posts where people are like oh its a bhg when it has NOTHING to do with one.

BAN STICK, j/k

Hooray to you mods for finally trying to put a stop to all this, if I see 'just go jz, dude' or 'lower that 4X4, man' one more time I think I'll just scream and please guys if you quote a post with a bunch of pics leave the pics behind, nothing like trying to go thru a thread where people have quoted the same pics 20 times.
If the mods get real free with the 24 hour ban stick I think they'll all just stay over on SF or go back to the HonDuh forum.

There is some great stuff going usually like today's Aeromotive thread and the 5M crank and exhaust blanket and anybody asking for help, etc.
Keep up the good info! Thanks

That was pretty funny iwannadie. I wouldn't answer an actual thread that way, but I couldn't resist just this one time..................:biglaugh:

89turbo guy, I also agree with you. There is always going to be a little joking around, but you will get the answer to your question eventually. Maybe it should be quicker and then let the joking start, but a little fun never hurt anyone. I will always be on here to have fun and cut up, but if I can help someone I will gladly do it. I just learned how to copy and paste so it's easier for me to show them a thread to check out. I used to type the url's in for them because I didn't know how to copy, but I did try and help if I knew the answer or where to find the answer. I just wish I was a little smarter instead of so damn good looking........................:biglaugh:

I do agree though: Answer comes before putzing around...or at least it should.

not that i care or think its a real problem... however, referencing people by real name confuses the hell outa me lol. this forum seems to do it alot actually too.

when i see a post and it gets a bunch of replies then a couple people say like 'oh listen to bob, he knows his stuff'. im all for the refrence of a good source of help, doesnt do me any good when i dont know who 'bob' is lol.

You have a good point......whatever your name is......LMAO!

It took me awhile to get used to and learn names, it used to urk me a little when I was new, not that people did it, but trying to figure it out because I'm bad with names to begin with. Truth is, I'm more comfortable here than other forums, and even though I've only personally met a couple, I feel like I actually know alot of these guys and have spent enough time on PM, IM, posting, etc to actually consider as friends. So.....state your name....LOL

I'll start by helping you with the most confusing of all..

I actually prefer real names to be honest--it gives the community a sense of realism instead of making it seem like you're talking to a bunch of robots.

Jay/SupraHero--Uhh you forgot me in that whole gay blue list...I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing lol
