The past owners of my car were idiots,

One of the 2 previous owners painted the car with wall house paint with a brush and one of them bent the Upper Control arm and that is why my camber was so bad one the drivers side. Cant forget how the last owner drove the car with a BHG and with no Oil but that part dont matter cause I wasnt kepping the GE in it anyway.

I get mad all the time
The latest is replacing the struts and springs only to find missing nuts, cross threaded struts halt the screws that hold the interior in place missing, but the little covers put back to cover it over and on and on....

I am extremly happy about the owner of the car before me!

He had it detailed once a month along with the oil changed and all the other maintenance.

ONCE A MONTH!!

All the time, the guy was ridiculous. Drove the car around with blown shocks and cut stock springs. Did a half ass 89+ conversion that I gotta fix now, he used the 88 bumper support for 89+ bumper and did a terrible job mounting the main spoiler. Claimed he put on a mhg to the guy I bought the car from and claimed the stock ct was upgraded. He also did some weird thing with the pcv system that I had to fix also. Broke the winshield also so it's a never ending search for shards of broken glass, which I've found most of now.
The guy I bought it from was honest, but the guy he got it from was a idiot.

Forgot to mention the guy I bought it from bought basically everything I needed to fix it. Almost everything.

I dislike...the previous owner...very much. He got a JDM engine put into the car which is kind of nice. Except they went about the install in a very cheap manner.

-The wiring harness was all kinds of messed up...I had to go through and fix a lot of it.

-The wiring inside the car was cheaply done for an aftermarket alarm. It got mixed in with the stock alarm and he couldn't start the car anymore (Which is why he sold it :naughty: ) . So I had to tear it out, fix all the wiring and kill off the factory alarm.

-He also tried to do the foglight rewire and screwed it up.

-Used spray paint and pink touchup paint to paint parts of the car.

-Used GLUE instead of a gasket on the throttle body (that was an all day job)

-Drove the car on 2 completely dead spark plugs for who knows how long.

-Drove the car with a leaking power steering rack for the longest. Had to replace the rack and the pump...

-Never drained the water that got into the tire well so it rusted through (but I'm gonna cut out most of that area at some point, Fuel cell!!)

And some other stuff...

When I think of how far my car has come I can do nothing but smile. :icon_razz

There are little holes in the polster of the roof, the repairs of the engine costed 3k$ (he put bearing or smt. from Taurus), and the car has been crashed like maaaany times (father thinks thats why the AC doesn't work, and some inside the car are bent). GRRRR!!

Several quirks about my car aswell...
Alot of the interior screws are missing. One of the valve covers was cracked and epoxied back together. The CAS cover is cracked and glued all back together. Theres a radiator from an automatic car in there. *Mines 5 spd* The odometer was rolled back a good 40k miles...And, theres no fan shroud.

And, whoever had it before me didn't take to great a care of the paint either, clearcoat flaking and pealing...ugh.

I bought my car from the original owner, a lady in her mid 60's. The car was in such good condition, that I have to love the bitch. :biglaugh:

My 86.5 was pretty bad. I found shoddy wiring and ghetto rigging quite often. Plus they liked to paint the tops of things with silver paint, and a little on the sides. I never quite figured that out but I did manage to clean it all off. It could have been much worse though. I've seen some real nightmare cars.

My 92's pretty much been a dream. Found some coke spills in the center console and some food under the seats, but once that was cleaned up it's all good. It appears that most of the work was done either at Toyota or at a very nice shop. The R134 conversion for example was done very professionally.

The previous owner. The car itself is fine, but there were several problems caused by the previous owner. They're now fixed, I learned A LOT fixing them, and I'm as happy today as the first day I bought the car.

Who's to say people can't vent a little though.

I have no clue how many owners my car had. But the last one was definitely a man... everything smells like cologne...ugh.... The key(only one) opens only the drivers door(luckily the ignition)... so if I want to get into the back I have to use the lever by the driver...ugh!!!!! Took out the wiring for the back speakers...I can only use the front speakers for now. I was able to put in a toyota stereo but had to figure out the wiring on my own....:nono:

I cant really complain about the previous 2 owners of my car. They both kept the original targa tools, floor mats (which are shot but at least the carpet under them were protected) and the owners manual, and pretty much left the car alone. It had a professionally installed head unit and 6 disk changer (only thing wrong there was the speakers were shot). One of them also did a JDM swap and as far as I can tell it was done well

The only things not done properly on my car was that at some point it was hit very slightly on the front upper nose and hood. The hood latch didnt contact properly and the paint they used on the nose was not properly formulated for the flexible material and it was cracked. It was a simple fix to swap in some parts from my parts car, so no biggie. Also the exhaust system was redone using no resonator, crimp bent pipes and this god-awful HUGE muffler can in the back. Also relative easy to replace. Theres also some hacked in wiring for the ignition that Ive yet to determine exactly the point of, but the car starts like it should and all electricals work properly, so Im not touchin it till I do my GTE swap.

All in all I would say I got a good car, for a good price, and the previous owners made "reasonable" repairs.

Im wondering what percentage of us that think we did OK on our cars have N/A's? It would be my guess that more turbos have been hacked up than N/A's.

Usually, From wha I have seen, N/A's are usually in better condition. At least beauty wise.

Most of the Turbos I have seen around here that arn't owned by an enthusiast are all beat up.

 I can only speak for myself. All these imperfections is the reason I got the car so cheap. She is worth a hell of a lot more to me!

I want to restore as much as I can.... KUDOS!!! to all of you that were able to find near perfect Supras!:icon_bigg

I shouldnt really be mad at the previous owners.... They got what they wanted from this car.... Now its up to me to give her TLC for the rest of her life.... the longer i can extend it the better!!!!:biglaugh:

If I say the previous owner who DROVE the car, I would stab him in the face.
he ran the car so much without oil that he completely wiped out the crank and bent two rods.
the kid i bought it from was gonna rebuild it but never go to it, all he did was changed the interior from blue to black with black vinyl spray or something, lol.
