there just OEM replacement pistons... its not like hes saying that hes getting forged pistons for $150. They should be fine. just be careful and make sure they arent some weird ebay brand....

thats how i look at it, im gonna be running the ones he posted, and im sure i wont have any problems. they mic'd to within .0005 of the factory piston size. ill be posting up periodical reviews as i dont think anyone else has run these before. i'd rather try a $100 set of pistons before i dropped $500+ on a forged set.

nah but he coulda had my set for only $350, they left this morning though

the pistons if you're stock i wouldn't worry about... the bearings on the other hand i would stay away from, those are the cheapies. if you get those pistons, make sure you get good bearings

Ehhhh, I'd try to stay away from engine internals from ebay.

Thats just my 2 cents. If your getting pistons for a GTE, you might as well get forged to avoid any headaches in the future. Becasue if anything happens, you'll be kicking yourself in the ass for getting those ebay pistions.

Do it right the first time.

Only thing to me that seems iffy about the pistons is that little divot in the top..WTF is that? They look good otherwise. Oh and ACL are NOT cheap bearings(if theyre real). They're some of the best..up there with clevite. I built a Honda motor with ACL race bearings and its been alive and running super strong for 30k miles. Id like to know how good those rings are though.

I recentley baught the 7M-GTE full gasket, bearing and ring set from that place. i got them and they seem to be very good quality. Also the bearings i got were ACL true ACL bearings and the rings are NPR Nippon piston rings seem to be a good quality ( from looks anyhow.) will let everyone know how it all holds up.

Iam going to be calling him tomorrow and see what he has to say. Find out if this company is the real deal. I took the following from his ebay add. His numbers at the bottom. Any specific info I should plug him for besides the obvious?

quote:I own and have been operating a gasket store in California for 5 years. My specialty is American cars although I also carry gaskets for Japanese and Korean brands. All my gaskets are made to meet OEM standards, no exceptions to this rule.

The gasket sets that I offer in my listings are the same as the ones that I offer to my store customers although at a much lower price here. Each of my gasket sets is sold in my store on average at about $180. The reason as to why I am selling my gaskets at such low prices? Simply because there are much more competitions here on eBay. By selling on eBay, I am hoping to generate more sells since eBay has an international clientele.

The material and quality of my gasket sets share 99% in similarity to those of the big-name autoparts stores. I am so confident in the quality of my gaskets that I do offer a 60-day free of defects warranty on them. Please note, the warranty will only cover manufacturers' defects and not humans' neglects & abuses.

The pictures that are shown in my listings are actual pictures of the gasket sets. Hence, to quote other eBayers, "What you see is what you will get." quote:

My store phone number is (626) 582-1801
My business hours are M-F from 9:00 to 5:30 pm PST

They don't make the "good" race series bearings for 7M's :(

ACL are local to me and in the past I've used their "normal cast pistons" for Turbo builds even going as far as machining a dish in the crown to drop compression. (I did this after discussing it face to face with their engineers and them saying it's probably NOT the best idea ;) )

Keep the motor out of detonation and it'll be fine.

i thought you were talking about in the center of the piston, but those "dimples" aren't going to do anything
