Did you forget to read the last paragraph that I wrote? You must have...

Whasian

I read what you wrote but it's a stupid reason to attempt this.

Unique and custom? That's a cop out reason many use to do some really dumb mods to their cars.

I could run 6 tiny turbos on my car to be 'unique and custom' but does that make it a good or efficient idea?:icon_conf

how can you say that direction has nothing to do with it...

Whasian
Easily because it doesn't.....

ANGLE will affect it direction won't, air doesn't care if it's turning left or right.

I know you're new and excited about modding your car but EVERYTHING you're talking about has been done before many years ago my point is there is no reason to ghetto mod the IC as there are now better cheap alternatives available.

Again, we are talking about a 100 percent "STOCK" supra here guys in which those numbers are based on. Not a car that has been modified.

Whasian

So if a 100% stock car is making 6psi at the manifold, the 3psi pressure drop means your turbo is actually making 9psi. Miss anything?

Biased article? Yes it is Turbo magazine, and they test turbo parts.

Show me where it says the other units were tested on modified cars, the stock mass produced unit was tested on a stock car. Show that please. I hope you kids learned a lesson. Something about a horse and some water.

you can blow me...When was the last time you seen an aftermarket intercooler mount right up to stock piping?

Whasian

I have one. It's a trust drop in replacement. Uses stock pipes if you wish. Sure, this is for a JZA70 but there are drop in ICs for the 7M too.

Just because you're a failure at finding information doesn't mean the rest of us have to dumb ourselves down for you.

Thanks for playing.

Who the hell are you? You talk alot of shit for a n00b with no established credibility.

Congratulations. I had edited my last post, because Bigaaron says we should be a little nicer. That worked well. You are now labeled a dumbass.

Scroll down. Since the article was about the HKS and Cartech(spearco) intercooler, I tried their first. Amazing what 2 seconds of research does.

uh what is going on in here.....

I fail to see the logic in alot of people here. Any intercooler is a restriction in the air flow. Why would you want two stock intercoolers??? Thats double the restriction from an already not so efficient intercooler.

Someone in here said that two intercoolers would increase the airflow...wtf how does that work...lol If thats true why not add 20 intercoolers to have twenty times the airflow and cooling...... :ugh2:

Plus you can buy a decent ebay intercooler for $100 shipped to your door....

The only reason I can see to have two intercoolers is if you are running twin turbo's, maybe on a v8 twin turbo setup. Then each turbo could have its own intercooler.

Double the restriction in series Half the restriction in parallel.

Yea I never wanted anyone to think that id want to run 2 intercoolers in parallel to the engine. Sure that would technically cool it twice as much, but the only reason I concidered this is because it should in theory cool at least as good as 1 intercooler but have half of the restriction because only half of the air travels through each IC. I doubt Ill do this mod, but there are definate possibilities for improvement using this mod, so why not concider it?
