:) Wheeeeeeee, I've never had so much fun in a car before (and that's including a Porsche 911 Cabriolet)! I got to drive it from Eugene to Beaverton (about 115 miles) and just around. My girlfriend got to drive it too, and I quote: "Wow! Pure adrenaline attached to a license plate, yeah baby!!"

Short background. This is the car that my girlfriend's brother bought from Jake and Heidi (link). I had to call up my family down in Eugene to secure the car for him. My brother was very jealous that he couldn't have the car. Today I left work early to go down and pick it up with my girlfriend. We drove it around Eugene for fun before hitting the highway.

I love Supras.

Not sure what David (the new owner) was doing in the frame, but good pic nonetheless. [edit] My girlfriend says he was tripping over her purse [/edit]

I made a vow... not to drive a turbo supra unless it is my own NA that has been converted to turbo. haha N/A is like training wheels, or a watered down version... you learn to control the heavy 3500lb beast and then once you do that... throw some boost in the mix and have some fun lmao!

I drove my first N/A last summer... what a dissapointing experience. It was weird not having boost kick in. ;)

I had an NA for a little bit. It was so slow. Slower than a DX civic slow. Never took it on the highway but man was that the slowest slow that ever slowed

I drove my NA for a while, and I actually thought it had power, but I still couldn't do certain things, like overtake people on the highway, etc... Then when I drove my turbo for the first time, I was like WHOA! I instantly discovered what it is that a turbo does! Wow, what an experience that first time was...aside from the terrible overheating after about 10 mins of driving...lol...Hey, it's a Supra!

I dont know what you're talking about TurboWarrior, sure it's an N/A, but theres no way in hell it's slower than a Civic! Yours must've been in pretty bad condition because i've beaten multiple civics on my 150k mile GE.

You never took it on the highway? Why? She shines on the highway!

ya man, I do love my ge, and it's got some bawls.... relatively speaking.... well maybe not.. but it sure is a quick little car even with a 300lb coworker in the passenger seat.. up hill.... and I still scared the guy!

I drove Jon (GotTurbos?) turbo a few weeks ago, all I can say is WOW! He was probably in the low 300's possibly high 200's due to being on 93 and only 14 lbs, but it was amazing. I swore to myself from there on the next turbo car I drive will be mine. :icon_surp

I didnt need a ride in a turbo supra to be convinced, i've driven a number of turbo vehicles, i know what they can do :) Thats why as soon as i had funds i got a turbo supra, and started rebuilding! I too get the chills waiting for my first ride in my fresh new turbo 7M!

It was beat up. Completely stock. I couldn't race a civic id lose. But then again I don't rev the crap out of any car. I tend to expect power at low rpm. IT could have had clogged cats or something i don't really know I only drove it twice and then sold it shortly after

I would've definently looked at the cats as the source for the problems. I got a new cat recently, and it has almost instant throttle response now at higher speeds, before it was pretty bad, the cat was trashed.
