So apparently this part doesn't exist, my last resort is the Toyota dealership. I got a really un-helpful person at the parts counter at a local autoparts shop.

Does this part exist in the aftermarket? Lady at the counter told me to start searching junkyards for supra's :icon_mad: . Any idea's on the price of it?

Sad to say.. Junkyard is the way to go!!!
I replaced mine for free from a junkie... It works great!!!
Its a b*tch to get off, but it does come off!!!
Take off the drive shaft then separate it and the tail end with the carrier needs to be clamped down then cracked with a i want to say 24mm socket... and boom your ready to go!!!

someone on here would prob. be more than happy to sell you one from a car their parting out. But if you were even thinking about spending the money on one from the dealership you would be better off spending the extra cash on a one piece shaft and never have to worry about replacing one again plus getting a little extra performance while your at it.

Actually the AutoZone here in cali does sell one cheap, last I checked but you have to screw with it to make it fit right, as I recall it has something to do with the mounting bolts. I 'll search and try to find a link. I bent over for toyota when I replaced mine, but I'm sure the aftermarket one is just as good once you deal with the mounting problem (it's pretty minor iirc).

Is it just the possible vibrations or is there something else going on with 1pc?

Yeah, one piece is harsh on the pinion bearing and gears, aswell as the output shaft on the tranny, aluminum 2 peice would be an upgrade, 1 peice.. not so much, 2 piece is alot smoother do to the driveline angle aswell.

I want to keep it more of a grand tourer type of car that it is, not looking for performance over comfort.

Im going to find a hard time finding a supra in the junkyard and even then il have to jack it up, pull the entire shaft and buy it since its pressed on. Then hope I dont wreck it getting it off and the rubber will probably be bad anyway, im sure after a few hard launches it will die aswell.

Is the turbo bearing different than the N/A bearing?

it's called a "center support bearing" and toyota still had them!!! They are expensive as hell but yes they still have them.

That is why I went with a shaftmasters 1pc....it's been a great part so far and isn't noisy at all and doest vibrate.

It's bolted on not pressed.

because a 2pc is "better"...but our transmissions aren't that far out of line from the diff so a 1pc works fine...and most trucks with really long driveshafts need a 2pc for obvious reasons...our driveshafts are short and stout so a single works and has been proven to work...so it's your call.

I'm very happy with my 1pc...looks like sex when I'm under the car!

Ok so I went to AZ today and they have this one

deaa6002003.jpg
A2006

and this one

deaa6004003.jpg
A6004

the latter cost about 178, is there a difference between the two or what?

To me, the only difference that I can see, is the mounting tabs.

Ok, pretty sure the part number on these is 37230-22042, If you google that theres all sorts of Chinese manufacturers sites with them but of course, you cant just order one, you would have to order like 500.

Its apparently the same one used in the Cressida so that might make finding a used one easier.

Horsepowerfreaks.com has it for $257, and I would assume its about the same price from Toyota.. I would go 1 peice before I paid that much! :aigo:

Does anyone know if the MK2 used the same part? Its funny, I can find those online but I cant find Mk3 ones at a reasonable price.

heres one for a cressida on ebay, looks... wrong?
