So I have been trying to replace the clutch line on my car because the lower hard line got ruined. I got a full length flex line to replace all the lines. I also installed a new slave and master at the same time. So EVERYTHING is new.
I installed it all and tightened it, pour fluid in and it leaks between the line and the master. So I check that it's tight and turn it a bit more. Still leaks. So I think, maybe I over tightened it and messed up the threads.
So I take it off and it seems the first thread on the line fitting is not perfect anymore. I think this is my problem so I get another line.
New line threads into master by hand. The threads on the master seem fine. Thread it in, tighten it down but not too much. STILL LEAKS.
I haven't taken this one off yet because I think if I touch the car again I will just burn it to the ground.
Has anyone ever used one of their lines with success? I just need to know that others have used them and that I am completely incompetent. Thanks
