Well I spent all night tonight running this and I must say, after drilling and some careful thinking with my ECU/AC/Heat In the way, I safely managed to pull this one off and it works wonderfully.

i haven't read this thread, just the first post.

here's some MBC facts:

1. keep the lines as short as possible (<6") to avoid spiking/creep (i.e. DO NOT mount it in cabin).

2. the MBCs i sell are mean to have the straight end towards the compressor outlet fitting and the 90 degree end towards the WG actuator (or WG in external setups...).

3. be careful. too much boost + lack of other supporting mods = BOOM.

That MBC mounted inside the cockpit isn't going to work.. That biatch is like 5 feet long... You turn that sucker like 1/8 of a turn and it's going to jump like 5 10 lbs.

Ehh, what it "could" be? You're probably right.

Although, I didn't really notice any difference as far as response goes.
My turbo doesn't begin to spool until about 2800...and playing with it after I put it in, It seemed to be about the same.

I dunno. I'll mess with it a little more and if I don't like it, I can always take it out and use the hoses for a beer bong-Errrr.....What? No.

Is it working good like you had it Jspec? Did you shorten the vacuum lines or leave them in your glove box? Just wanted to know how it turned out..............lol

LOL...Actually, I'm dealing with a very strange problem right now.
I've been running this homemade MBC for about a month and a half. The first 2 days I had it, It adjusted accordingly and was perfect. Then one day, it just decided to boost spike like no other and I could only HOLD it at 7psi or Max it out... So I just haven't really been racing the last month or so...Well, since I was having problems with it, That was when I got experimental and put it in my glove box. It spooled the same as when in my engine bay... But there were a few times throughout that 1 month period where I could turn it just right and it would hold 10.5-11psi. I thought I fixed it so I tried to turn it up just a bit more, and NOPE, 19psi + FCO.
So yesterday, I borrowed(and still have) my friends MBC (a real one that was like $80)...STILL ran it in my glove box, and it worked perfectly. Well...It worked perfectly for about 7 hours...then out of no where when I got ready to spool, it maxxed out (I had it set at 14psi)...so then I just cut it down back to my engine bay w/ the good MBC...and it was perfect (15psi or so)...Then later that night, out of no where, It spikes again. It pulls nice and hard and healthy in 1st gear. :) but then as it shifts itself into 2nd, immediately hits FCO (18.5-19psi)...I don't know what the deal is. :(
