car is in the shop now getting the last few things done. just need to put on the new hardpipe and bov and put the battery in and hope it starts!!!
UPDATE:
car at first wouldn't start and wasn't getting fuel. The stock fuel pressure regulator needed to be fixed. now Its getting fuel and spark but won't stay running it just backfires a whole lot. Timing is off or something isn't firing right. Belive its the CPS will soon find out......

ok cps was the problem IT runs now. trying to set timing but coolant started leaking out by the water pump. The gasket must be faulty. Going to replace it. Sooooooo close to running im soo excited to take it for a drive. I just over stressed and worried I messed something else up as this is my first build and learning experince:aigo:

IT runs!! took it out today though it was kind of cold. idels perfectly. Turbo is amazing pulls very very strong though i only took it up to 4k but it feels like it could defently keep going. IT only at 7 psi right now but i would love to see what it could do at 20
. however there are a few bugs that need to be fixed. check engine light is on and getting code 52 wich is knock sensor so it might need to be replaced or rewired. the boost when it comes on also seems to hesitate or something not sure yet what it is but looking into it.also temp gauge isn't working not sure if its the wiring or the sendor but i have a spare sendor so i will try installing it. Its just so damn cold out to do anything on the car so I will have to wait till the weekend to drag it too the shop and work on it.
but other then that its a blast to drive and i miss the deep sound of the 7m and the noise of the turbo

woops i already boosted it a few times today. though i never took it over 4k. wish i would have read this first. I never though that it would need a re torque though. What would happen if i didn't re torque it? do the arp bolts back themselves out and the hg will blow?
EDIT also i don't have to take the cams off to do a retorque correct? just the valve covers.....sorry its been awhile and can't remeber
Never used their bolts but I've seen studs relax on EVERY 7M build I've done doesn't seem to make a difference if new or used.
I retorque every time now.

Cams stay in place but you might need to turn the motor a touch to get the socket on.

Take it out for a gentle spin around a big block each day between now and then just get it up to operating temp each day.

2.brake light doesn't work-FIXED!(actually it fixed it self somehow)
3.retorque headgasket
4.fix front right signal light
5.get temp gauge to work
6.speedometer stopped working(it worked fine but now it just stopped today)
7.replace a cracked coolant hose

everything is now fixed excpet the speedo.
Car currently has everything off for a retorque its just to damn hot the motor so Going to wait a 2-3 hours then go back and do the retorque when it has cooled off.
