Now I don't have a much spare time on me but i do get a few hours in a week on the car so it will slowly get somewhere hopefully lol. The car is in no rush to get running again as I bike everywhere now to stay in shape and enjoy it alot. But anyways on to pics and such

and then with more sanding and a good polishing compound like this:
018.jpg

bling bling!:pimp:

but anyways when I get the chance to push the car in the garage(its just sitting out on the gravel outside my house) and put it up on jackstands will drain the oil and tranny fluid, pull the driveshaft out and get the turbo and turbo mainfold off.
Car also need the brakes done bad so that is getting replaced with R1 concpet brakes and bads and a set of Stainless steel brake lines(as soon as i can get some more $$$$)
Then later down the road hopefully I can get my hands on a engine hoist.

Also sorry for the shitty qualty pics using cell phone as soon as I can find the digital camera I will take pics with it.

where did you get the impression that the cams are made of soft aluminum?

pick one up...and you will figure out that you are holding a piece of steel.

What are your plans w/ this car?

Your off to a good start and have a good looking car to start w/. IMO i wouldnt put so much time and effort into that 3000 pipe your better off getting completely new piping.

not too sure for plans I would like to have the car around 350-400hp so it will be a stock like build, mhg hopefully, And the turbo needs to be replaced (hopefully with a 57 trim is what i want) but that will all come as soon As I can get some more money lol. For now im in no rush to get the car running as I lost my lisecen And won't have it till feburary of next year. I really don't know 100% of what im doing but I don't really care and using this as a learning experince the car has done nothing but sit since september of last year so I figured I would start pulling shit off the car and c where it goes:biglaugh:

didn't get a whole lot done this weekend pretty hungover lol:3d_frown: . Managed to get the cam gears and rear cover off, oil drained, and almost all the bolts off for the turbo. Also managed to get the wheel spacers on one wheel but can't get it on the other. the tire on the right side has some stupid lug nuts that are too short for my tire wrenchs to grip on so Going to have to find another way to get them off. Got an impact gun just no sockets for it(bought the gun used but didn't come with the attachments). Also got the strut bar I bought on as well.

Now I just need to source a good turbo for it. Im thinking a 57 trim turbo or a 60-1 turbo something that will flow up to mid 400's

Neither one will last long at that power goal. If that's what you are wanting for power, you either need a bolt on turbo completely different from the CT-26, or another turbo, such as a Garrett GT35R, but then you have to have a bit custom made for it to fit...

ahhh true. Oh well mid 300's is what I really want I guess. SO a upgrade ct-26 will do find for the job

Anyways the 7m all bolt in the back of the tundra and off to the machine shop it went today:

mmmm Black TRD Tundra!
haha yeah its my dad's

but anyways got a call from the machine shop today
Here is what the pricing all broke down too:
2,300 total In CND and this INC TAX
995 for gasket set, pistons, rings, oil pump and water pump, timing belt
rest for honing of cylenders and cleaning of head and re-grind the crank and assmebly of the head and block with my ARP headbolt torqued to 85lbs(my ARP are already in there and have like 15,000miles on them so they should be good to re use again right??)

Does that seem fair to everyone?

It's 75 ft/lbs using ARP bolts w/ moly on an aluminum head.

That's what it's supposed to be with arp BOLTS, and MOLY LUBE. STUDS are 80 ft/lbs.

What type of lube did you use first off? How tight did you torque them to? Or are these new ARP hardware?

The price seems fair if they are doing the assembly. Make sure they know what tolerances the bearings need to be in when putting it all together. make sure they order the right bearings needed after resizing them.

I belive It was torqued to 85lbs last time I did and these are not new arp headbolts they have 15,000km on them and I used the Moly lube that came with them.
