doh! pimp's re-BUILD

yeah that crack doesn't bother me too much. i have another block i can build if i really need to..



but any ways, i get to school this smorning and some jack ass was using my engine as a fuckin work place, and they spilt tranny fluid down into number 6, enough to make an apearence to coat the hole top.

well i flipped the block over and let it drip for a second and spun the block upside down. didn't hear any thing bad but did happen to get atf into the exhaust so this sucker is going to smoke!!!!!

any ways, im about to go back to school tonight and have a few words with the night class and let them know how disrespectfull it is for any one to do this when i have this amount of money into any thing. i already had a few words with my instructor who is under standing, but sheesh. first some fags still a 14mm ratchet wrench and a 12mm socket from my partner, ( forgot them under my block)

i went to toyota today, and picked up a new woodruff key, and used it on the timming gear, worked perfect, now im just waiting on the second one to arrive, i also purchased a complet gasket kit for the turbo, i needed the 2 metal gasket's for the exhaust, and my brother need's the oil drain and water inlet gaskets,

im still having a bit of a problem with the cps and timming, but i think when i get the new key installed it should be easier, if not, im going to clock my cam just a bit to get the desired results.

fired her up today, set the timming, and all looks good,

i still need to check for actualy tdc and make sure my balencer isn't skrewed..



any ways, be a few more days.. i found a oil leak from the turbo feed line, and


also found that the fpig stuff i used on the oil pan has a little bit of oil around certain spots after filling her with oil.. im debating weather to change out the fpig with a actual gasket when i change my cross member out..

ripped the cross member out of the parts car,

and also noticed that the turbo feed line wasn't the culprit after fixiing that.. it turns out to be the oil filter mount leaking between the block and the mount,

well remember that oil leak i had spoke of...

talk about a veiw not many people get to see of their supra's!

and this is why im not taking out the motor, after squeezing every thing back in the bay, it's easier to leave the upside together..

any ways, got the oil pan off , and every thing looks great, i tell you what, i could completly see doing a rod job like this.. one of the easiest things ive done, of course the lift is a huge help.

sucks that im so close yet so far.. im going ro make a decent attempt at fixing my temp sensor even if it means running new wires for it.. i soo want my cold start reliablitly back!

well, starts like a bitch no more!

fixed the cold start problem . it was code 22, and it was the lower temp sesnor on the water housing, my problem was that the wire had came out of the connector, and i had over looked this before, when i had tested the sensor, which tested good,

i ended up swaping to an 89 pigtell and sensor which i soldered and heat shrinked on.

i also had codes 24 & 32, 32 was a missing hac sensor which i happened to have a spare in the car, code 24 was the afm air temp code,

a resister in tha to e2 , i then found out that i had cut the tha wire on my harness by the ecu, i think i have reconnedted this wire to get this code to go away

when i finally go to start her up, she acts just like she had a cold start problem, but she started up ran good, then crapped out slowly

i decided the ecu should work fine and if it didn't then it was a sesnor problem and if it ran good then it was a tuning issue,
turns out the main scale was -13, the low range fuel was being pulled -13-20% from 400-2k rpms. i set this all to zero and started the car back up idled and ran great.

at this point i have about 20 minutes (from initial start up) on the motor, and she was getting warm, blurp the throttle a bit and she comes rite alive.


it was funny tho, there was an eclispe guy from the night class chatin with me about my problem, he runs the maft translator,
any ways, he didn't know i was runnign speed density, or didn't under stand, and he was tring to say my car was running like crap because i didn't have my tb house cloupler on, let alone my lower intercooler pipe..

any ways, i'll try to make a start up video...

well, the new front end makes some weird vibration while making a right hand corner at decent speeds.. but over all the car runs great!,

cold starts alot better now, instead of 20-30 starts takes about 2-3

im starting to think i have a residuel fuel pressure problem, and it's not holding fuel pressure..

i think it's time to buy a aeromotive fpr...

well i have about 100 miles on her now, she still running great.

i did notice my ceL came on so i checked the code, it was 34,52

ive seen the 34 before and unless im remembeing the wrong digis, the code was for the hac sensor, 52 was a knock sensor code, when i shut the car off and started it back up, light went off, car still runs good?
