Just want to see how much you all got your *budget* Supra's for...

and if you sold it, how much you sold it for..

Just want to compare my own personal deals with others.. see how much people get running and non running supra's for.
(please post similar to mine, top oldest, bottom newest)

ME:
-1989 burg. turbo a/t. bought (needed timing) for 1,100 mild built.. adjusted timing and had a perfect car.. sold for 1,300

-1987 teal turbo 5spd. Bought for 500$ (yes 500) Wouldnt pass smog. Tightened exhuast manifold bolts (loose) passed smog. Sold 2 months later for 2,000$

-1989 3E5 N/A A/T Bought for 700$ In running condition. needed tires. Still own.

-1986.5 N/A 5spd Received in trade. (traded my shitty accord [that had 280k miles]) sold for 1,200

theres a couple others but ill skip them.

lets see what ya got!

Picked up an 89 turbo that hadn't run in 2 years for $1000. Spliced CPS wires back together, car started right up. fixed coolant leak all is well now.

Car had recaro seats which were just sold for $350, so car now cost me $650+30 for stock seat replacements. :)

680 bucks for a running 89 turbo. Hell ya. :)

^Winner^?

Paid $1k for my '89T (3E5 hardtop, 5spd) with rod knock. Had Eibachs/Tokico blues, TT wheels, and a nice interior. I've spent about $5500 on it since, mainly on the 2j swap.

Paid $300 for my '88 turbo automatic to save it from a salvage yard, knew at the time it had serious issues. So far I've put about $2500 into the engine itself, about $4000 overall and I figure I've got about $800 left to go before it'll be roadworthy to my satisfaction.

Got my 90t targa auto for $1500 pretty much mint condition interior and really good paint on the exterior. Car also had low compression on cylinder two but that was ok because I already had a 1jz waiting for a good donor car.:evil2:
